Blue Rush Charters – Port Aransas 22' 

We had an absolutely unforgettable trip, and I can’t recommend this captain highly enough. We unknowingly booked our trip during one of the biggest fishing tournaments of the year. When we pulled into the docks at 6:00 AM, it was chaos—boats everywhere, trucks packed into every available space, and we had to park way out in the overflow lot. It could have easily been a stressful start, but our captain had already gone above and beyond before we even arrived. He got to the bait shop around 3:00 AM—hours before sunrise—to secure live bait before it sold out. By the time we got there, it was completely gone thanks to the tournament crowd. Because of his dedication and foresight, we were able to head out right on time without missing a beat. Once we hit the water, the action started fast. Within the first hour, we were already reeling in fish, and the excitement just kept building from there. The captain never let up—constantly adjusting, moving us to the best spots, and doing whatever it took to keep us on the fish. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had an incredible experience. This was a guys’ trip, so there was plenty of laughter, joking, and friendly trash talk. By the third hour, the captain felt less like a guide and more like part of our crew—laughing along with us while still staying completely dialed in on finding fish. That balance of professionalism and personality made the trip even more memorable. The boat itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with plenty of seating so everyone could relax between catches. The music set a great vibe, and the cooler was fully stocked with cold drinks—water, Gatorade, Coke, and Dr Pepper—which was a huge plus out on the water. From the early-morning preparation to the nonstop action and laid-back atmosphere, this was truly a first-class experience from start to finish. We’re already talking about our next trip and will absolutely be booking with him again—whether it’s another guys’ outing or bringing along family and friends.

We had an incredible fishing trip in Port Aransas with Jax, Connor, and Lex, and Captain Spencer made the entire experience first class. From the moment we left the dock, he was knowledgeable, patient, and worked hard to put us on fish. He was great with everyone in the group, especially the kids, making sure they were having fun while teaching them along the way. The boat was clean, the equipment was top-notch, and Captain Spencer knew exactly where to go for a successful day on the water. We caught plenty of fish, made unforgettable memories, and had an absolute blast. Spencer is great. Had 3 kids and 2 adults. 4 of our crew had zero experience and we had young kids on the boat. Captain Spencer made sure the kids got to catch lots of fish and kept it safe. We did a 4 hour afternoon trip. I didn’t expect to limit out or catch enough for dinner - it was about the experience…. Captain got us on loads of fish within 30 minutes. Boys had the time of their lives and they got fresh fish for dinner that was a huge hit. We will be back again next year, without a doubt. Thanks, Captain Spencer.

We had an awesome time fishing with Captain Spencer! My wife and I are inexperienced fishermen, and our 5-year-old son had always talked about going fishing. Captain Spencer was so patient with all of us, especially our son, and did a great job teaching him and making the trip fun. We stayed busy catching fish the entire time, and there was never a dull moment. It was such a great experience and a wonderful memory for our family. We would definitely love to go fishing with Captain Spencer again. Highly recommend him!

We had a wonderful trip with Captain Spencer. The reviews were spot on. He was very responsive before the trip and answered all our questions. It was a cold start and a hot finish. When the fish weren’t in the first few spots, captain knew exactly where to go. Once they started biting, we couldn’t get them to stop! I brought a 6 and a 12 year old with us on the boat and they couldn’t stop smiling the entire trip. We can wait to come back and go out again. 10/10 recommendation for Captain Spencer!
