Had an absolute blast on the water with Captain Al! Spent 4 hours fishing the bay with light tackle and artificial lures — relaxed, fun, and perfect for families. Al is a fantastic local guide who really knows these waters, and we had a great time together. He even taught me the "grandpa technique" — be patient and steady, and it works every single time. Sure enough, we landed several spotted bay bass! His dog Jax was the perfect first mate and kept us great company. Highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to enjoy a great day out on the water. Will definitely be back!

My son and I booked a trip with Al, and as a beginner myself, it was all new to us—my son had only some experience with lake fishing. Al is fantastic! A San Diego local, he knows the waters and where to find the fish. All of our gear was included - just showed up with our own snacks and drinks and off we went! We caught plenty of fish, including a halibut that we kept! We learned so much while we cast, including fishing techniques, how to handle hooked fish, details about each species, and enjoyed Al's engaging stories about fishing and tips for success. Being on the boat, just the two of us, made it even more special. Al ensures you’re actively learning rather than just casting and waiting, making the entire experience exciting, engaging, and incredibly fun! As a side note, I am easily susceptible to motion sickness, but despite it being a bit breezy, which made the water more choppy than usual, I did not get sick. Al truly made this trip special for us and one we won't soon forget. Exciting, educational, relaxing, and most of all fun! The 4-hour trip we took is great for anyone wanting an adventurous day on the water, doing some Bay fishing, learning about the local area, the Naval ships, dockyards, and history along the way. If you have landed here and there is availability, I can tell you there is no comparison to Al's trip. Just book it now before your date/time gets scooped up by someone else. The type of fishing me and my friends did with Alberto, fishing in the bay, is perfect for begginers or people that dont fish as much who want to try a charter fishing trip for the first time! I’ve personally gone on many different fishing trips all around the states and out of the states so I’m experienced, but for my friends it was their first time going charter fishing and the type of fishing we did was very laid back and very easy to understand which was perfect for them and each of us caught a decent amount of fish but obviously that depends on the day! Either way though our fishing guide Alberto was great at explaining everything and was a really great guy to spend the day with and I definitely recommend this type of charter fishing for people who haven’t fished that much or have never gone before and to people who want to go with younger kids, its perfect for them!

i planned this trip over a month ago. i was taking my nephews on an adventure, and I picked the right crew. i had so many questions, so Captain Al called me and made me feel confident that i planned the trip i wanted. The fish were biting from the first few minutes. When things slowed, he moved on to the next spot. I told him that i wished the knowledge and tips he imparted were known to me before i went fishing in Yellowstone River & Alaska. We all caught fish, hence we were all happy. The captain's knowledge is impeccable.

Captain Al Silebi is a star. Great with kids. We fished with him a year ago and caught tons of spotted bass. This year he suggested we try the north part of the bay and caught multiple guitar fish, multiple halibut, spotted bass, keeper sand bass, sting ray, mackerel, sculpin. Lots of action. Seven yr old caught the most. I HIGHLY recommend Capt Al. First mate Jacks the chihuahua does his part also. Grandkids loved him.
