Ooooh my goodness what an absolutely FUN day!!! I took my 10 year old son, Bryce out for his first time scalloping! We met Bobby at the dock at 8 AM! He was packed and ready to go. We just brought snacks and towels! As we got in the boat, he told us the drill. He got my son a life vest and told him til we get out there he needed to wear it. On the way out, we saw a shark, so cool. While in the water, we started scalloping about 4/5 foot of water. I was able to find some scallops, however my son was struggling. Bobby took it upon himself to bring us into shallow water so Bryce could really see the scallops! Absolutely perfect as Bryce could touch and was comfortable enough to get to the scallops and he was having such a great time! He’s like “Mom, I just caught a runner! “😂 those scallops do try to run away from you! Not only did he enjoy the scalloping but also the other sea creatures we found, which included a blue crab, sea urchins, conches, and the dreaded jelly fish! Bryce loved scalloping but I think his rare find, the blue crab, might have made his heart full! We didn’t keep it, but he was so glad he made me come over to look at it with him! Glad we brought water shoes and flippers because out there we found some sea urchins! Bryce got stung by a jelly fish. This happened while I was on the other side of the boat and I had no idea. Bobby was able to help get him out of the water and had a first aid kit right there. He was able to keep him in the boat with water and took care of him. I had no idea anything happened til I got to the boat! He was fine and calm! As a mom you want to be the one stung by the jellyfish, not your kid, however he was in great hands! We had our scallops shucked before we went in, there was a rain headed straight towards us. Bobby made sure we were good the entire time and was calm in all the situations. The trip started with a shark and ended with 3 dolphins! Couldn’t have asked for a better captain! If you want to take kids out, he is sooo patient and funny. He will make your kids comfortable too and check in to make sure everyone is taken care of! We ended up filling our 2 gallons of buckets, each, while I loved that I was more happy with the entire experience because I know my son will remember this trip for a lifetime! We will be booking again next year and can’t wait to continue making more fun memories during the summer! Thank you seems so minimal based on all the positive experiences we had today but thank you again!
Sarah it was a pleasure having you and your son on my boat , I'm glad you guys had a great time . Hearing the excitement in his voice when he discovered something new is why I love doing what I do. See you next year....Captain Bobby G
Myself, my son and his girlfriend had a 3 hour trip this morning and it was awesome. Captain Robert met us at the dock and was really friendly and knowledgeable about where to fish. We caught a good few trout, a mangrove snapper and a puffer fish. Me and my son are experienced anglers, but it was my son’s girlfriend’s first time and she really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely book again when we’re back in Tarpon and would recommend to anyone. Great trip, thanks!!

Captain Bobby G met us at the dock and got us comfortably on board. He explained the boats key components and detailed how we would be fishing. We moved around until he marked fish with his electronics increasing our odds of having a successful trip. The captain was very personable, knowledgeable and explained techniques that only a veteran cold do. If you’re looking for a few hours of fun and fishing I would highly recommend chartering a trip with Bobby G.
Mr. McCann it was a pleasure meeting you and your family, I'm glad you folks had a great time out on the water and I hope to see you again soon. Captain Bobby G

I know fishing. I love fishing. I am not easily impressed with watered down fishing charters. I was more than impressed with my day catching fish with Reel Mafia Charters. Robert (Bobby G) was very knowledge of the area and used his know how along with technology to put me on fish. We started deep and landed big Cobia, Mangrove Snappers, Grouper, and Spanish Mackerel. Then moved in shallow, landing Reds, Trout, and more Mangroves. It was a successful day on the water. I didn't feel as though I wasted my time or money. Thanks Bobby G. I'm looking forward to getting out there with you again. Tight Lines....
Thanks Terry glad you had a good time hope to see you again. Captain Bobby G
Capt. Bobby G took care of us. For our little guy it was the first time he went fishing on a boat and it was amazing. The time, care, and attention that the capt put in with our son made the trip for us. We will definitely be booking a trip the next time we return to the gulf coast. Thanks again Capt. Bobby G, can’t wait!
