Soy un apasionado deportista, nacido y criado aquí en las montañas del oeste de Carolina del Norte. He pescado truchas y lobinas desde que era un niño pequeño. Tuve mi primera caña de mosca antes de los 10 años y ya estaba capturando truchas de arroyo nativas en el parque antes de que la mayoría de los niños recibieran su primera Nintendo. La naturaleza ha sido mi pasión desde que nací.
Recientemente he reestructurado mi carrera profesional para dedicarme a mi pasión como profesión a tiempo completo. Poseo un servicio de guía operado localmente que ofrece excursiones de pesca, mochilero y senderismo. Lo que me distingue de mis competidores es mi conocimiento nativo de la zona y los ríos, así como mi amplia experiencia como guía profesional de rafting. He registrado más de 1000 excursiones comerciales de rafting en aguas bravas localmente para una empresa y nunca he tenido accidentes, lesiones o malas reseñas.
Me enorgullezco de la seguridad y de ayudarte a capturar el pez de tus sueños, ya sea una trucha de arroyo nativa que nunca ha tenido contacto con humanos, una trucha marrón trofeo, o una excursión de una noche o varios días a uno de los desfiladeros más pintorescos del país. Mi experiencia en aguas bravas me permite llevarte a algunos de los desfiladeros más remotos de la Costa Este. Vamos a capturar un monstruo y a crear recuerdos.

Evan, was straight forward telling us that the chances of catching any trout were low due to the Hurricane and time of year. He was very patient helping myself and my wife how to fly fish. He also told us about some great places to view some local waterfalls. Although we didn’t catch any fish it was still worth it to spend the day on the water. Will definitely book a trip with Evan on our next visit to Asheville!
what an absolute great time i had floating on the water . the guide was top notch for me with knowledge , teaching , piloting , and even had lunch and drinks . from the start the professionalism blew me away . the guide was very thoughtful and allowed me to do whatever kind of fishing i wanted to do. now the the confidence this man gave me let me know he could handle anything on the water . everything was included and so well thought of even down to an emergency phone . my guide wasn't just that he was a fun smart person that i look forward to piloting me around again soon .
I fished with Evan for 3 days and he was fantastic. We always caught numerous fish and he was very knowledgeable about the river. He was patient and kind even when we kept getting snagged on the bedrock in the river. The most important thing was that as a woman he was willing to take me out fishing. I tried numerous companies and they did not seem to be interested in taking a women fishing. So ladies if you want to go fishing I would 100% recommend Evan. He will make sure you catch fish and feel safe. When I go back to Asheville I am booking with Evan again!
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and guide. Evan was so patient and knowledgeable. Thoughtful with his preparations to accommodate the day. My son couldn’t stop thanking me all evening, with Evans assistance he helped my boy land 10 trout, and a few different species of them was icing on the cake. We will come back to Asheville and when we do i would definitely look at working with him again. Thanks for everything!
This was a Father’s Day trip a week late with my adult daughter. Evan’s a great guy and we exchanged several messages before the trip working out things we wanted to focus on learning while fishing. He worked with her on her fly casting and presentation and with me on reading water and lure presentation as well. We both felt our skills improved and we caught some nice smallmouth as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.
