What can I say - 20 minutes after we put the lines in, I hooked a tuna (20-25 kg). Never caught a tuna before and was surely surprised by the power of the fish. I messed up and the line broke when the skipper was reaching for the leader... so no picture. Yes, I would book them again - good equipment and boat, high positive energy captain and crew - good discussions. All in all -fully satisfied.

Tuve una buena excursión en Malta donde pude capturar dos grandes atunes rojos de más de 50 kg. Me hubiera gustado pescar más especies durante el día, pero el atún era el objetivo principal. El capitán Lydon era muy divertido y conocía muy bien la zona y las técnicas de pesca. Disfruté usando su nueva caña y carrete, aunque sentí la presión de usar un equipo tan fino. Muchas gracias de nuevo, Lydon, y fue un placer conocer a tu buen amigo y ver cómo los lugareños pescan algunos peces de buen tamaño.

We went for fishing on Monday 12-8-24. Very early hours but a hour or 2 later we know why. That’s the exact moment the fish will bite. First a bite didn’t set on the hook, due me although the captain said it was. Second bite a tuna, first one ever. We were able to land it, what a fight and it wasn’t even a big one maybe 80 or 90 pounds. A but later another nibble splits the baitfish. Then no bites anymore, lots of fish on the radar. We kept trying but no luck. A great experience. Thnx to the captain and his fast boat it was at trip worthwhile.
Mi mujer y yo fuimos recientemente a una excursión de pesca de atún y, aunque la experiencia fue agradable en general, lamentablemente no conseguimos ninguna captura. A pesar de que el atún no picó ese día, la excursión nos brindó una gran oportunidad para disfrutar del mar abierto. El capitán era muy competente y amable, y el barco estaba bien equipado y era cómodo, lo que hizo que la excursión fuera muy agradable a pesar de la falta de suerte. ¡Quizás la próxima vez tengamos mejor fortuna!

Nothing happened as we agreed. The fishing equipment was a mess. There were no live baits. We had a tourist trip. It's definitely not worth the €600 we paid.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that the trip date was changed in advance to ensure safer and calmer weather conditions. Prior to departure, you were clearly informed that due to wind conditions, live bait fishing would not be possible in January, and an alternative plan of trolling for smaller species was proposed and accepted. As fishing activity was slow on the day and we completed the full 6-hour trolling trip as agreed, we also added extra value by providing a full tour of the Blue Lagoon, including surrounding caves and coastal highlights, at no additional cost, to enhance the overall experience. Fishing is always dependent on weather and sea conditions, especially during winter months, and catches can never be guaranteed. The equipment on board was appropriate and functional for the agreed fishing method. For transparency, we have attached a screenshot of our prior communication confirming that the fishing plan and weather-related limitations were clearly explained and agreed upon in advance. We always strive to be transparent and to offer the best possible experience while prioritizing safety. We regret that the trip did not meet your expectations.
