Las especies locales incluyen Permit, Caballa, Lenguado, Corvina Roja, Palometa, Boquilla, Peto (Kingfish), Tambor Negro, Sargo, Robalo y más, dependiendo de la época del año. El Capitán Skylar también puede llevarte a practicar la pesca de lenguado con arpón.

¿Pensando en traer a toda la familia? ¡Los niños son absolutamente bienvenidos! Los niños deben usar chalecos salvavidas, así que consulta si el tamaño adecuado está disponible a bordo. Se permiten aperitivos a bordo — ¡trae tus favoritos para que nadie se ponga de mal humor con el estómago vacío!

Estarás lanzando líneas desde un pontón Starcraft de 24' que tiene capacidad para 10 pasajeros. Viene equipado con una silla de combate y todos los elementos esenciales que ninguna máquina de pesca puede prescindir. Hay un baño a bordo para tu comodidad. El Capitán Skylar tiene cañas y carretes para ti, así como señuelos. El cebo vivo está incluido, pero deberías preguntarle al capitán si lo estarás capturando tú mismo.

Half Day Trip el mayo 26, 2026 • 2 adultos • 1 niño

Skylar was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the Laguna Madre. There was a storm on its way in that made him have to change up his normal routine. But he kept us moving ahead of the storm. My 12 year old caught a big Black Drum, the biggest fish of the day and that made the whole trip. We followed some birds on the way in and caught a couple Trout. We are going to fry up our catch for fish tacos tonight. We will definitely book Skylar again. Had a great time.

Conditions were rough and not a lot of boats were on the water but Captain Skylar did an amazing job keeping everyone comfortable, safe, dry and on the fish. He took us spot to spot making sure we were in the best places possible for us to succeed. He was knowledgeable, patient, and taught the proper techniques for the fish being targeted. We all landed fish and had a memorable experience on a very nice and comfortable boat. Will be booking with Captain Skylar again.

Excellent Fun Catching Family Fishing Trip

Skylar was wonderful!  He was super friendly, knew his fishing, super clean nice boat that provided shade, plenty of room and sun if you wanted it.  My kids that are teens 16 and 18 had so much fun.  We caught are limit of 20 the kids caught 17 of those, lol!  He provided drinks and music as well.  The location was perfect to meet and easy to find. He even made suggestions on where to take the fish if we wanted to have it cooked for dinner, which we did and they did fantastic.  We really enjoyed this family fishing trip.   He assisted and did so much to make this enjoyable for all of us.  Thank you! We will definitely book again with him.

We had an incredible experience with Capt.  Capt. Skylar Wilhite. From the moment we arrived, the Captain was welcoming, organized, and clearly knew the best fishing spots. The captain was professional yet friendly, making sure everyone felt comfortable, whether it was their first time fishing or they were experienced anglers.

We caught plenty of fish, including a few big ones that made the trip especially exciting. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of shade and seating, which made the day comfortable. The captain also provided all the bait, tackle, and guidance we needed, and they even cleaned and bagged our catch to take home.

If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, and successful fishing trip, I highly recommend booking with South Water Charters /Capt. Skylar Wilhite. It’s a perfect way to spend a day on the water, and we’ll definitely be back.

fun for the whole family!

with our 2 year old in mind and with it being pretty windy he took that into consideration and had a plan. he definitely does his home work finding fish as we were on them for most of our time on the water. I lost count of the amount of fish we caught and didn’t care because of how much fun the experience was. If you want family fun trip look Skylar up!
