El área de Branford en Long Island Sound es céntrica y ofrece muchas opciones para encontrar diferentes tipos de peces dependiendo de la época del año. La duración del viaje también dictará dónde podemos ir y qué se puede pescar.

Dependiendo de la época del año, podrías enganchar lubina negra (Black Seabass), tautoga (Tautog), lubina rayada (Striped Bass), anjova (Bluefish), escorpina (Scup/Porgy), corvinata (Weakfish) o platija (Flounder). Si buscas ir mar adentro, entonces se pueden buscar atún rojo (Bluefin Tuna), tiburón zorro (Thresher Shark), atún de aleta amarilla (Yellowfin Tuna), atún de ojo grande (Bigeye Tuna) y otras especies. Se utilizarán varios métodos para darte la mejor oportunidad de embarcar el pez que estás buscando. Nos especializamos en lubina negra y tautoga.

¡Las familias que pasen el día con nosotros se alegrarán de saber que los niños son bienvenidos a bordo! Hay disponibles dos chalecos salvavidas para niños, así como 6 para adultos. ¡También recuerda traer snacks para que nadie se ponga gruñón con el estómago vacío! Nada hace más feliz al Capitán Steve que ayudar a alguien a pescar su primer pez y conseguir que se enganche a la pesca de por vida.

Tu aventura comienza a bordo de un Chris-Craft convertible de 36 pies que puede llevar hasta 6 pasajeros. Hay un baño a bordo para tu comodidad. Encontrarás cañas, carretes y aparejos esperándote, así como señuelos o cebo. A veces incluso pescamos el cebo para conseguirlo fresco, dependiendo de lo que esté picando.

Un Primer Oficial estará allí para asegurarse de que todo funcione sin problemas y para limpiar tu captura para una buena cena después. Es costumbre dar una propina al Oficial de 15-20% para mostrar tu agradecimiento.

Tu licencia de pesca para el día está cubierta por el barco chárter, ¡solo preséntate listo para pescar! Ten en cuenta que algunos peces pueden tener límites de captura o temporadas cerradas. Simplemente pregunta y tu capitán puede darte más información.

Great Time with outstanding weather

When we first cast off for our fishing adventure the morning was perfect for fishing. It was our first spot to cast for fish that had my attention, I felt the captain should have made some adjustments to the first stop. The captain did adjust after observing the spot, water drifts, and lobster traps lines. Before the    adjustment we're caught up in, fishing lines being tangle, the loss tackle and maybe the potential of fish. We caught a lot of fish, only to return them to the water Because of length or size. But I notice at the end of our trip getting larger bait lured in the larger fish. Giving us big action, the limit was 25 per species of fish. Thus, we caught a nice total for the day and Captain, to me you still deserve 5 stars. Enjoyed my time. THANK YOU!!!

Our family had the pleasure of enjoying an unforgettable fishing trip that spanned three generations—and every single one of us had a blast.

Captain Steve is nothing short of outstanding. Friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about boating and fishing, his excitement is infectious. He made even the youngest aboard—our two children, ages 8 and 10, with zero fishing experience—feel like seasoned pros. I honestly believe he was just as thrilled (if not more so) watching them reel in their catches!

First mate Sam was also fantastic—a courteous and capable young man who patiently answered my son’s many questions and stayed one step ahead of the action with ease.

Fishing, like the weather, can be unpredictable. But Steve clearly has "a spot"—each of us hauled in multiple fish, including Striped Bass, Porgy, and Weakfish. After they were filleted, we took home pounds of fresh catch that made for an incredible meal with plenty of leftovers.

Despite our group being mostly novices, Steve and Sam operated with the seamless coordination of a seasoned crew in a high-paced kitchen. Their efficiency, patience, and good humor made the experience smooth and stress-free.

Mudslides' Charters may be a professional operation, but it feels more like you're out on the water with buddies than booking a commercial trip.

Thank you, Captain Steve and Sam, for giving our family a day we'll always remember.

You are too kind.  It was an absolute pleasure to host your family for a day of fishing and Sam and I had a great time.  I got into doing this because of the hope of meeting clients like you and your family.  Thank you and we hope we get to see you again soon.  The fishing isn't always that good but we pray for days like that.  Had another one on Sunday too.

Great birthday trip for 11 year old

My sons- 11 and 13, husband and I went for my son’s belated bday present. I picked this captain and his boat for a few reasons. The boat was a double decker so you can be up top and see down below. It also had a rest room on board and a place to keep cool if needed. It also had all the equipment for unexperienced fishers like us. I let the captain know we were going to need help and they assisted us. Took a little bit to find a spot and us to know when to tug but we bought some. My bday son caught a shark and myself and other son caught flounder, sea robins and a porgy. My kids wished he was a close friend because they wanted to do a bunch of time this season. They loved the whole thing. Maybe next year.

It was a fantastic time captain Steve and his first mate were so awesome, nice and courtesy. It was a little breezy but well worth the experience. My 12 year old son wants to go back now! I highly recommend capt Steve and his crew. Captain did a fantastic job explaining things and very knowledgeable. His first mate Sam was really pleasant to talk with also. Go with capt Steve you will have a blast

Best Charter Ever!

Captain Steve and his mate are professional, friendly and so helpful! This was my first fishing trip with my daughter and grandson and the crew made sure we were comfortable, safe and successful in catching some great fish! I highly recommend this charter for an excellent fishing experience. We will be using Mudslides Charters again!
