This 4 hr inshore trip is a great first trip to check out your resistance to sea sickness. A little Dramamine and some ginger candy helped us avoid it. The family is already agitating for a longer trip next year on the Stormy Petrel!

Always book the morning trip. Bring lots of beverages for hydration , water shoes or anything with traction. Sunscreen is definitely a must as well as shade glasses and a hat.

5.0/5Late summer months are always hard fishing. Captain Brian and 1st mate Danny worked hard to keep us on fish. The first two gours the bite was crazy. Fish after fish on the lines. Last two hours as the sun got higher and the tempature rose the bite slowed way down but we still caught some fish. We ended up with 19 Spanish Mackerols. It was a fun morning on the water.

It was everything I was hoping it would be for teenage nephews Gavin and Jake who managed to land several large reds and blues. The boat, although basic in layout, was quite roomy and comfortable to fish from. I recommend Cap'n Jason Snead's inshore service.

Brian knew were to go and Danny never stopped with rigging, explaining and hauling in our catch. Skip Jacks, Black Fin, and Yellow Fins were fun to catch. The dolphins they put us on were a blast!!

Captain Jonothan was very patient with my super beginner self, and helped my husband and dad know where to cast and what to feel for since ocean fishing is VERY different than what we’re used to. Not many caught, but that’s our fault (user error!) I would recommend this charter 100/10 times!

5.0/5We had a great time and caught lots of spanish mackerel for eating. Gavin, the first mate, was very personable and great with the kids. We had an awesome time with our kiddos and were in good hands with Capt Duke and Gavin! Highly recommend! Will be going again next time we are in OBX.- 5.0/5Captain Jonathan was great! He brought us too three different locations trying to put us on as many fish as possible. He kept the bait checked on the poles constantly. We all ended up catching a fish and had a great day. We would go fishing with Captain Jonathan again.
