Use light spinning gear or a 5–7 weight fly rod for the most fun. Pack a variety of small pink and chartreuse lures, polarized sunglasses, and a rain jacket. Waders help if you plan to fish from shore. Handle fish with wet hands, and consider barbless hooks where required. Pink Salmon are tasty and versatile if you choose to keep one.
