    highly recommend

We had a fantastic day out fishing with Matt. The conditions weren’t ideal and made the fishing pretty challenging, but Matt’s knowledge, patience and experience really stood out. He was fantastic with my three kids, keeping them engaged and making sure everyone had a great time.

    10/10 Recommend

Our captain Chandler was awesome! We had inclimate weather that postponed us a few hours, but he was flexible, and worked with both of us at our experience level. We caught a couple barracuda, snapper, and a baby goliath grouper, which was an awesome experice.

Acerca de Pesca en los bajíos pesca

Flats fishing puts you in shallow, calm water where sight matters more than depth. You stalk fish in inches of water, watch for subtle signs, and make careful casts. It is intimate, exciting, and perfect for anglers who love a visual hunt.

Typical targets include Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, Redfish, Snook, Spotted Seatrout, Barracuda, and Sharks. Many are powerful game fish known for speed, stealth, and dramatic runs. The mix can include both trophy fish and steady action species.

Most anglers use light spinning or fly fishing tackle. Sight fishing is common, which means spotting fish or “nervous water” before casting. You may wade the flats or ride a shallow-draft skiff while the guide poles quietly to avoid spooking fish.

A flats trip is usually half day to full day in sheltered, inshore waters. It suits beginners, families, and seasoned anglers, as guides tailor the plan to skill level. Bring polarized sunglasses, sun protection, quick-dry clothing, and non-marking shoes. Pack light, stay quiet, and be ready to cast fast when a fish appears.

Before you go, check local rules for fishing licenses or permits. Review open seasons, harvest limits, and gear regulations for your area. Rules change often, so confirm details close to your trip.
