I myself (Captain Marty) have been fishing in Port O'Connor for over 40 years and been guiding Professionally for nearly 30 years and strive to make every trip a memorable one and we aim for quality fish and to make memories on every trip.
My son, who also is a guide, Captain Matt who will deckhand and as well as take guided trips on the vessel too. He has been fishing in Port O'Connor his whole life, and is very knowledgeable of the waters.
We both do our very best to provide an excellent experience with professionalism and to make every trip worthwhile.
We feel it's our duty to provide the most memorable time on the water because not everybody gets to experience catching a fish of a lifetime. We try to reproduce that on every trip. It is something we are very excited about, to see the smile after somebody lands the biggest fish they've ever caught in their life!!
So we pride on ourselves and catching quality fish!
So that means we will try our absolute best, we won't give up. We will go above and beyond to try to find some fish and make it a great experience!

I was really impressed by how he made a connection with my grandsons (10 & 8) . He gave them clear instructions on how to present the bait, what they would feel if a fish was biting and how to set the hook. He did a good job of explaining the structure and where the fish would be in each spot we fished. It was an awesome day fishing. We caught a whole bunch of fish and we will be talking about it for years to come. We will definitely call Captain Matt for our next Port O'Connor fishing trip.

Big trout and red at the big jetties

We got Kaleb, his wife April, and their daughter and Jason out with us today.
Had a great day on the water, we started out looking for trout first it took a spot or two to find them then it was very good for about an hour and a half where we caught all of our trout and released at least six oversize trout ranging from 21 inches to 23 inches.
Once we got our trout all done, we went and looked for redfish and the spot paid off really good at the end of the jetties. We caught a few drums to start with and then we started getting one red after the next for an hour straight a lot of 27 inch redfish and a bunch more 29 to 30 inch redfish we had a blast. Can’t wait to do it again .????

Get the sheep while they bite

This was on the trip of Monday, March 24
We had a great group of guys looking in the boat the coveted it Bay snapper or also known as sheepshead.
We did really good on cheap pad and red fish, catching almost all our tag fish and a bunch of bulls we could not keep that were too big. And a bunch of extra fish like a Pompano, gaftop, trout, Spanish mackerel, and a drum.
A great trip can’t wait to do it again

Big fish day at the rocks

This is the first trip of the day. We had an afternoon scheduled as well. We went out early in the morning, trying for trout didn’t do very good on the trout. They didn’t want to bite. So we proceeded to try to find some sheephesd and found a few big sheep head. Some close to 20 inches. Then we moved to the redfish and drum and we really did good on those catching at least 10 oversize black drum and 5 to 6 oversize reds that we could not tag and at least five that we did tag it was a great day made a lot of happy faces, another great trip for a lifetime guide service
