Captain Josh Parr was born and raised in Naples, Florida and has been fishing the backwaters of SWFL for over a decade. He specializes in light tackle, backwater fishing for Redfish, Snook, Trout, Sheepshead, and Tarpon. Captain Parr will do his best to guarantee you an enjoyable day on the water while learning the art of backwater fishing. Captain Josh Parr will also act as your eco-tour guide, as you are cruising the backwaters of SWFL.

Half Day Trip (PM) • 2 adultosI went on a 4 hr trip with Capt. Josh. He put me on fish right away and I caught 4 different species; jack, sea trout, snook and grouper. I had a large snook on the line, but lost it near the boat. My only regret is I should have booked a longer charter.

3 hour fishing • 1 adultoJosh was able to accommodate my last minute decision to fish. Suggested an early start to beat the wind and boats. 100% worked out. First cast landed fish. Great knowledge of key spots was clear. Boat was perfect and gear top notch. Really enjoyed his company and enthusiasm. The giant Snook hook up was a thrill….Brought home dinner - sheepshead. Super trip, great guide and really solid dude. Highly recommended.

3/4 Day Trip • 2 adultosMy girls and I had a blast today fishing with Capt Josh He was very knowledgeable and took very good care of us the whole trip, He had us on a wide variety of fish in different areas in the Islands. Will definitely use him again!

Half Day Trip (PM) • 2 adultosMy girlfriend and I had a great time on a 4 hour backwater trip. Josh told us it was going to be windy and it may be tough but we had an epic tour through the backwater on our way to a few go to fishing holes. We got lucky and got on fish early and didnt have to bounce around much. Dude knows what hes doing and vibes were great through and through. BOOK IT!

Half Day Trip (PM) • 3 adultosJosh is an excellent fishing guide. We booked a fishing trip knowing it was not the ideal weather. Josh put us on fish every time. Once the bite stopped we zipped to other spots with fish. Josh knows the islands and has a great personality and good stories. Can’t go wrong with booking a trip with Josh at JP's Backwater Adventures!
