We are starting the transition to fishing for lake trout from now until the end of season. The bigger salmon have stopped feeding and are getting ready to spawn. We occasionally catch some immature salmon and steelhead while fishing for trout, but will primarily be fishing lake trout. Keep in mind lake trout limit is 2 per person.

We are in the summer fishing mode. 7-10 fish per trip is average for this time of year. We are fishing anywhere between 5-12 miles offshore. The fish are deeper in the water column, big and strong. To catch them we use long copper lines. The average fight is 10-20 minutes. Fish are averaging 7-18lbs. Getting a mixed bag of lake trout, kings,steelhead and coho.
