SPRING SNOOK FISHING IS ON FIRE

Our recent trips have been great! Non stop action with a lot of big Redfish. With the Fall pattern approaching I expect the redfish bite to only get better and better. The go to bait has been live pinfish on a 2/0 circle hook. I personally prefer fishing 25 pound Fluorocarbon leader and 10-15 pound braided main line. The best bite has come on the incoming tide along mangrove shorelines and on the lower stages of the tide I have been finding fish along deeper potholes on the edges of flats and oyster beds. Now is the time to get in on some of the best redfishing of the year so book your trip with confidence because the bite is redhot.

The snapper and Redfish bite over the last few weeks has continued to be great. Average snapper have been 12inches with some fish in the 15-16 inch range. Most of our snapper are being caught on small pilchards and cut threadfin. Our redfishing has also been great with cutbait being the go to bait fishing higher stages of the tide and presenting the bait as far back in the mangroves as possible.

Snook fishing has been great over the last couple months. Average fish have been in the 22-26 inch range with a few fish passing the 35 inch mark. The bait has been great on the flats so live chumming and live bait fishing has been the ticket to a successful day. The snapper bite has also been great. Im finding most of my snapper mixed in with my snook so its a great opportunity to catch dinner and have fun battling snook. Trout have also been mixed in and are open season till May 11.
