When the gulf temperatures fall from their summertime high and dip into the 70’s and below the hogfish come into much shallower water. Hanging around ledges and other hard bottom while they spawn, they get much more aggressive and are the prime target for many anglers! The king mackerel have shown up in numbers, we’re finding them heavy on our artificial reefs on live bait. Red grouper bite has continued to stay fairly steady with some keepers being found around 40-50’ of water. The lane snapper bite as well has really turned on the last week with the mangrove bite starting to get better as well. We are in full blown spring mode!
