Great bite with great people!

Great trip out nearshore today. Had a great snapper bite most of the day. Loaded up with some mangroves before switching gears to get a few trout. Saw a good assortment of species including gag grouper, mangrove snapper, key West grunts, Spanish mackeral, sea trout, lady fish, puffer fish, ramora, wrasse, jack crevelle, and black sea bass.

Turned out to be a great day with Damian and his family. Started the day off with a summer shower and the bite was on. Loaded up a cooler full of snapper with about 15 keeper snapper alone. Add a few Spanish mackerel and some grunge to go with it and they have a great dinner ahead of them. Got to love swimming tacos!

Today the bite was non-stop! Couldn't ask for better weather. The water is warming up a hair and the mackeral and mangrove snapper were fired up before the front. Freelining live shrimp proved to be the best method while bottom fishing proved to be effective for grunts and sheepshead. Had a great time with Julie and her family for her birthday. Lots of laughs, lots of fun, and buckets of fish to take home!
