We took my son out for a striped bass trip for his 13th birthday, and the captain made the entire experience incredible. He was patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about helping young anglers succeed.My son lit up every time he celebrated a catch with him. Watching him reel in those stripers with confidence was the highlight of his birthday. the captain created a day we’ll remember forever. Highly recommend him for any family looking to make meaningful memories on the water.
Ive been on multiple guides within lake texoma and Bob is by far the best capt ive had! He took care of everything for us from start to end, is very knowledgable of the lake, has great personality and humor which made it very easy for our crew to have fun, all we had to do was put the fish in the boat. I also really liked how he didnt sit at a single spot for hours when not catching anything. ive been on guides that will only go to a couple different spots and sit at each one for a couple of hours regaurdless of action. If we got no action he was moving us to different spots and finding the fish. Bob put us on em today and ended the day off with 67 keepers, cleaned them all at the end and sent us home with a nice freezer full of fish. Would 100% recommend and will be back!
Took my dad on a fishing trip yesterday with Bob from Flat Water Charter on Lake Texoma and we had an amazing time. It was just the 3 of us on the boat, which made the trip feel relaxed, personal, and a lot of fun. Bob took us to several different spots throughout the day where we caught catfish, stripers, and hybrids. Bob was great about making sure we always had the right bait and lures on, and he worked hard to keep us catching fish. One of the funniest moments of the trip was when my dad somehow reeled in somebody else’s lost fishing rod and pole. We all got a good laugh out of that one. My dad and Bob are almost the exact same age, only a month apart. So the two of them spent most of the trip joking around and talking like old friends. After we got back, we hung out for a while visiting with Bob and his wife, which honestly made the experience even better. They’re genuinely great people. To top it all off, Bob cleaned and filleted all the fish for us before we left. If you’re looking for a guide on Lake Texoma who knows where the fish are, makes the trip enjoyable, and treats you like friends instead of customers, I’d definitely recommend booking with Bob at Flat Water Charter.

Captain Bob got us on fish right out of the gate. We had a few big striper caught on jig lures, but we were on fish! we caught a lot of what could've been keepers that we threw back in hopes of getting back on bigger fish. Bob set us up with live bait and we ended up with three BIG blue cats. 25 lbs! The fish went cold for a bit then after a few changes in location we're back on em! Good conversation, he was attentive and knowledgeable. This guy knows his stuff. I absolutely recommend booking with Bob.
We went out with Captain Bob and had a great time. We caught striper and catfish. He did an amazing job keeping us on the fish, moving everytime things slowed down. Can’t wait to book again for a trip with our kids next summer. This guy is the real deal!
