We caught black nose and spinner sharks along with a couple hot dog sharks lol. It was a great first fishing trip for us. The Captain had a great personalty, funny, and very knowledgeable. Will definitely book again when we are in Hiton Head!
We had an absolutely fantastic time on our charter this morning! Captain Buddy was punctual, welcoming, and ready to go right at our 07:00 AM start time. The fishing did not disappoint—we reeled in a shark, a king mackerel, and a regular Spanish mackerel! Captain Buddy is incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters, the different fish species, and exactly where the best spots are to get a bite. Beyond the great fishing, the kids absolutely loved the boat ride itself. Captain Buddy was great with the family and made sure everyone had a blast. If you are looking for a fun, productive, and family-friendly day on the water, Captain Buddy is your guy. We will definitely be back!
The 4 Hr inshore trip was just what we wanted! We caught a bunch of fish and many different species of them, including Black and Red Drum, a fine tooth shark, croakers, whiting, and even a sting ray! We even got to see 2 bald eagles! Buddy was a great captain as always and very informative, we learned alot about the waters and the fish that call them home. We will be back again soon!
We caught several sharks and a stingray! We kept one shark and Captain Buddy cleaned it so it would be ready for dinner! His wife gave us a Shark Taco recipe. Four 19 year olds came on this trip with me and my husband and they all had a blast catching sharks they even thanked us for taking them. They found it so exciting and Captain Buddy made the trip perfect by sharing all his shark knowledge. This trip is great for little kids and big kids - kids of all ages will get a thrill!
Our trip with Captain Buddy was amazing. There were 4 of us, including our 9 and 6 year old. Buddy was great with them and so informative, which was especially fun and interesting to my inquisitive kids. Highlights of the trip were catching a jack trevally that a shark had bitten the back half off of, a huge bull shark, as well as pulling up crab traps and collecting massive stone crab claws. I would highly recommend Buddy and we will definitely come again when we return to Hilton Head!
Captain Buddy showed us an amazing time. We caught several different species of sharks, one of which was good enough to eat! We also got some delicious stone crab claws! He taught us the process kindly and encouraged us to keep trying even if we were nervous. He told some great stories and jokes, and beared through our attempts at being funny! Captain Buddy also taught us about the wildlife as we saw it. Overall a super fun, educational, and rewarding trip.
