Captain Tim and Mate Herbert provided an amazing experience. They were consummate professionals focused on safety and ensuring a fun trip for all. We caught 5 skipjacks in 6 hours. We will be back for sure!
the seas were rough, the boat is a Cadillac, it handled the waves very well, fishing was slow and we caught two male Marlin at once but only one stayed on for pictures. Captain Tim and mate Herbie worked very hard to put is on fish, Herbie never stopped changing up lures and trying different teasers. fishing is fishing! Thank you so much for a great and memorable trip!
The experience was wonderful. The crew did an amazing job working hard to find the fish. There was plenty of room to relax in the shade. The cabin is air conditioned and has couches some of us slept on. The crew were nice to talk to. We hooked a huge marlin that we faught for a while before we lost it. Very exciting. The entire experience was enjoyable. Very glad we had this experience. I would encourage people to do it.
I’ve taken multiple charters all over Hawaii and this was by far the best. Tim and Herbert were the best crew I’ve ever seen. Herbert was an absolute rockstar (even working a hand line). Tim was an expert captain on handling roughish seas. We caught 7 nice skipjacks and my family of 5 had an awesome time. Can’t wait to sync up with this crew next time we are in Kauai!!!
While we did not catch any fish, Captain Tim and our mate, Hubert certainly tried. It’s called “fishing” for a reason;) seas were a bit rough with 4-6 footers but the big boat made it easy and we knew going into the day there would be some chop. Great conversation with Hubert. When we come back at some point down the road, we will be sure to look up Apex.
The crew, Tim and Herbert, were awesome! Despite one sea sick person on our trip, we had a great time and caught a bunch of fish. We caught an ono, 3 tuna, and 2 marlin and had a few more on the line. Would definitely recommend this trip, regardless of your skill level, for anyone looking for a great experience deep sea fishing.
