Wet Tails Charters a été créé pour partager avec vous notre connaissance de la pêche au large dans les Keys de Floride ! Non seulement nous proposons des services de sorties de pêche encadrées, mais pendant notre temps libre, vous nous trouverez souvent en train de pêcher pour le plaisir avec nos amis et notre famille. La pêche coule dans nos veines !
Par ici, il est courant de capturer du Vivaneau, du Voilier, du Thon à nageoires noires, de la Coryphène, du Thazard-bâtard, du Thazard barré, du Mérou, et bien plus encore, selon la période de l'année. Lors de ces sorties, le capitaine vous emmènera faire un court trajet vers le Great Florida Reef, où vous pratiquerez la pêche de fond et/ou la pêche à la traîne dans les eaux cristallines des Keys de Floride pour ferrer votre poisson.
Vous pensez emmener toute la famille ? Les enfants sont absolument les bienvenus ! Quelques articles essentiels à apporter sont des collations, des boissons, des lunettes de soleil et de la crème solaire. L'alcool est autorisé avec modération, mais évitez les spiritueux ainsi que les bouteilles en verre. ( Toilettes équipées ! )

Awesome Time on Water

We had an absolute blast on our charter today with Wet Tails Charters out of Marathon in the Florida Keys! From booking to the end of the day, everything was seamless and professional. Captain Ed was awesome—super knowledgeable, friendly, and an absolute pro at finding the fish. He put us right on the action, and we caught lots of great fish all day long. The variety and quality of the catch made it a trip we’ll remember for years. 
Big shoutout to the co-captain / first mate as well! He was fantastic—kept everything running smoothly, helped with the lines, and made sure everyone was comfortable and having fun the whole time. The teamwork between Captain Ed and the co-captain was outstanding.
We even got to fix (soak up) that beautiful Florida sun while reeling in the catches—perfect weather, crystal clear waters, and an unforgettable experience on the sturdy 31’ Stamas boat. The boat was comfortable with plenty of room. Highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a memorable day fishing in the Keys. Professional, fun,
family-friendly, and fish-filled from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

Mahi mania, a wahoo win, and one that got away 🎣🔥

What a day. The seas were choppy and a few of us were feeling it, but this crew kept things fun, light, and dialed in the entire time.
We ended up landing 14 mahi and a wahoo, and even had a shot at a monster sailfish (the one that got away will definitely be talked about for a while 😄). Captain Ed and First Mate Mikey knew exactly where to go, kept us on the fish, and were awesome with the kids—making sure everyone got in on the action.
They handled everything, coached us through, and made it easy to just enjoy the experience. It honestly felt like a perfect mix of adventure, chaos, and big wins.
If you’re looking for a trip where you actually catch fish and have a great time doing it—this is your crew.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with this fishing charter in Marathon, FL—especially as a family with kids. From the moment we got on the boat, the captain and crew made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, taking extra time to engage with the kids and make sure they were involved every step of the way.
They were incredibly patient, teaching the kids how to bait hooks, cast, and reel in fish without ever making it feel rushed or overwhelming. The crew knew exactly where to go to keep the action steady, which kept the kids excited and focused the whole trip.
The boat was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a great day on the water.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly fishing charter in Marathon, this is the one. They went above and beyond to make it memorable for both the kids and adults. Highly recommend.

Our fishing trip with Wet Tails Charters

Our fishing trip with Wet Tails Charters was absolutely fantastic. Even though the weather was rough and it was raining heavily, Captain Ed Taylor and his first mate Ian worked nonstop to make sure we still had a great day on the water.
We caught dozens of fish — even if they weren’t exactly the target species we were hoping for — but there were plenty of great fights and solid action. The experience that Captain Ed and his sidekick Ian delivered was top-class. Honestly, it was outstanding, especially considering these were some of the worst weather conditions Key West has seen in a long time.
We will 100% be coming back again — even though we’re traveling all the way from northern Europe, Finland, with a 12-hour flight.

Best Captain & First Mate

We had 6 in our family outing, from 10 - 72 yrs old. Each of us rated the trip 5+. From the moment we met at the dock, Captiain Ed and Ian were personable and focused on us having an enjoyable and successful fishing trip. That we did! They were always there with new bait, gave clear and calm instructions for landing the fish, helped land when needed, and were especially good with our 10 and 13 year old guys. They not only helped us catch fish, we had great conversation with them. We felt safe and comfortable on their boat. Not only would we go with them again, and plan on it, we've already recommended them to 3 others. There was nothing about this trip that could have been better. We caught enough fish to have a meal for 6 at LazyDays (bring your catch), 2 meals home cooked, and packages to ship home. Thank you Captain Ed & Ian for making this the highlight of our trip to Marathon!! We will see you again.
