As good as it gets today. Topwater and Jig from start to finish. Bass to 25-30lbs. The time is now!

Glad to have a veteran onboard. Was a little rough, but we found a way to get it done. After this weather passes over MDW the fishing shoudl be fantastic with calm winds!

The reefs have been on fire in the am with big bass (some up to 30lbs) chasing bunker as the tide pushes them against structure. When the sun comes up there are more and more fish hanging low on the reefs where we have been successful vertical jigging for them and using spoons. Some reports of Bluefish sunning themselves on calm days out in the middle.

Made a quick look at a local reef today and honestly wasn’t marking much at first. Took out the binoculars and it told a completely different story. Spread out striped bass were pushing bunker sporadically for miles. Not giant blitzes, but enough life that if you stayed patient and kept moving, you’d get your shots. A couple fish in the 10-18 lb range ate topwater offerings, and if you stuck with the jig long enough there were a few solid fish mixed in underneath. Some of the best early coldwater bass fishing I’ve seen in a long time, and it’s happening close to home. The time is now.

Awesome time this weekend with a couple topwater bass in the islands. Then many releases of Atlantic Bonito and some mid-sized bluefish. A couple shots at big 10-12lb False Albacore. Looks like some cooler weather is heading this way which should make things even better!
