Résumé du voyage
The first week of October brought about cooler temperatures that have it finally feeling like fall in SW Michigan. Despite the lack of precipitation and low water Smallmouth Bass fishing remains excellent on the Saint Joe. Fish are located adjacent to structure and are packing on the calories for the upcoming winter. They cant resist anything imitating the local forage base (crawfish, shiners, or gobies).
A few salmon have also begun to stray into the Saint Joe but fishing has been spotty for anadromous fish. Expect this to improve with rain and cooling temp.
Let me know If you are interested in getting on the water to enjoy some fishing and fall colors before cooler temps move in.
