Take a kid fishing

Had a great day today “grocery shopping” for a fish fry. We stryws our day with low water so we went to the rocks to pick up some good fish to fry up then worked our way in with the tide and got on a school of redfish and was able to land her first keeper redfish , not the biggest but for a first a keeper is a keeper. We had a great day and accomplished the mission of “bringing home the groceries”’

We had a beautiful morning with a good incoming tide ,overcast skyes and almost no wind. We started our day on the hunt for some redfish and found a hungry school tailing near a rocky point. We hooked up almost instantly and warmed up with a few smaller reds then the star of the show made his appearance, we saw this bruiser of a fish about 10 yards off the bow and was able to pitch a live shrimp to him and he nailed it as soon as he saw it. Despite a wound from a previous shark bite this 32” brute gave an amazing fight and was released to live another day.

Had a afternoon to take my daughter fishing and had a absolute blast. She wanted to go “cstching” not fishing so to the rock piles we went. We filled the cooler with a variety of snapper , grunts , sheepshead , seabass and trout, she then hooked a ambitious grouper that gave her a great fight on lite tackle. All together it was a great day in between charters and some much needed father daughter time.
