The spanish mackerel have arrived in force around the nearshore oil rigs. This is light tackle fishing with live shrimp. These spanish give a good fight on our light spinning gear. Fried spanish is some awesome eating.

Dodged some weather this morning, but still had a good day on the water. We ended up with a mixed bag of speckled trout, redfish and flounder.
