Big reds are showing out right now and making their presence known in a big way. Overslot fish are stacked up in deeper holes and along channel edges, especially around moving water. Live mullet and cut bait have been getting crushed, with some fish pushing well into the upper 30–40 inch range. Early mornings and tide changes have been the ticket, with schools rolling through and lighting up rods quick. If you’re around structure—bridges, docks, or drop-offs—hang on, because when they eat, they’re not playing around.
