Résumé du voyage
The fishing has remained consistent this week across the Texas Coastal Bend, with black drum and speckled trout providing plenty of action for anglers fishing around Rockport, Aransas Pass, and Port Aransas.
I've been finding some of the best black drum fishing over the local reefs using fresh live shrimp on the bottom. The drum have been feeding well throughout the morning and have been a great option for families, first-time anglers, and anyone wanting steady action. These fish are putting up a strong fight and making for an enjoyable day on the water.
The speckled trout bite has also been productive. Most of our trout are coming from grass flats and nearby deeper guts where baitfish are holding. Live shrimp under a popping cork has been producing consistently, while shrimp-style soft plastics have also been catching quality trout when the fish become more active.
With stable weather and warm summer water temperatures, fishing conditions have been favorable throughout the week. Early morning trips continue to offer the best opportunity before the afternoon heat and increased boat traffic arrive.
If you're looking for a guided fishing trip in Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, or Corpus Christi, this is an excellent time to get on the water. Summer fishing continues to produce opportunities for speckled trout, black drum, redfish, and other popular inshore species.
I enjoy helping anglers of all experience levels, whether you're introducing your kids to fishing for the first time or you're an experienced fisherman looking for a productive day on the Texas coast. I provide all bait, tackle, rods, reels, and fish cleaning so you can focus on enjoying your trip.
If you're planning a Rockport fishing charter or looking for an experienced Texas Coastal Bend fishing guide, I'd love to take you fishing and show you what our local waters have to offer.
