My son and I went out fishing with Captain Todd today. We had a fantastic time, we caught some awesome bass, and I lost 2 what would have been personal bests🤣. Captain Todd help make the experience memorable from the moment we step on board until the moment we left. He's extremely knowledgeable and an excellent coach if you're inexperienced. He guided us and directed where to cast. i swear a few landed right on top of their heads. We will definitely be returning in the future.

My wife surprised me with a 5-hour guided fishing trip with Captain Todd Vick. I had never river-fished before, and although excited about the opportunity, I really didn't know what to expect. Any concerns I had were immediately alleviated as soon as I met Captain Todd at the Waccamaw Marina. After introductions and assessing my skill (or lack of skill) level, he explained exactly what we would be doing. Catching largemouth bass was the goal. Despite a windy day, the sky was a gorgeous blue, and the scenery along the Waccamaw River was spectacular. Once we reached the first fishing spot, Captain Todd gave a brief lesson on using the artificial lures, the proper way to cast and retrieve, and most importantly, how to properly set the hook once the bass hits it. We ended up catching some and missing others. But the most important thing is that it was a ton of fun. Captain Todd made sure of that. As much as I enjoyed talking about fishing, we spent much time discussing unrelated issues. Turns out we had a good deal in common. The bottom line is this. If you want a fun and relaxing time on a beautiful, scenic river with an extremely knowledgeable and patient fishing guide, I highly recommend a fishing trip with Captain Todd Vick. In fact, I plan on returning in October to try my luck at fishing for crappie.

While captain Todd was getting a wind knot out of my line that we had cut from the bait, we felt a head shake on the line in the water!! We ended up landing a 1lb bass with only hands and the line itself! It’s always a fun experience on the water with Captain Todd and we always learn something new! We look forward to spending more days with him in the future. It is nothing short of amazing every time.

Another great fishing trip with Captain Todd. He took some time getting my son ready to try different techniques that he hasn’t done before. Caught some nice bass and saw some gators. Thanks again captain Todd see you soon.

Capt Todd is an absolute blast to fish with. Extremely knowledgeable about the river had us on fish the whole trips. Couldn’t have ask for a better time. I highly recommend you give him a call to take you Bass fishing you won’t regret it. This was a way better trip than any inshore or deep sea trip I have ever taken. He will be the first call anytime I’m in the area.

Captain Todd was very knowledgeable of not only the bass but the other wildlife that call the Waccamaw their home. Taught me how the tides can affect the bass fishing all the while putting me in places where I was in the best position of landing fish, will definitely be fishing with him again!

He really looks out for his fishermen and not only did we catch fish we had an Alligator tour and close up. What a great captain

Awesome awesome day with Captain Todd.Been living on coast for 20 years and never fished the Waccamaw River.Captain was very knowledgeable of the river and knew how to catch our target species for the day bream and shellcrackers.He also had zero problems explaining the river and giving me helpful tips if I ever try to fish the river in the future.Was amazed at the quality of fish we caught today-had no idea this beautiful fishery was in my backyard.Hope to go again in the fall and catch some big ole crappie with the Captain.Book a trip and you will not regret it!!!

Captain Todd was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the river and how to fish . Todd was spectacular with my son. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back.

My son and I had a fantastic experience! Capt Todd was a wealth of knowledge and tirelessly coached us on new fishing techniques and was excited as we were when we finally got the hang of things and landed some Bass. The scenery was beautiful as we cruised small tributaries of the Waccama River and Cypress swamps to some of his special spots. This was a very unique and memorable fishing experience and I’m already thinking of an excuse to get down here again before our next vacation to do this again!
