Hey Cap just a thank you for the trip. The keys reasons that I would HIGHLY recommend DJ. 1. Capt. Encourage me to lay a track on my phone getting out of Choko and to the spots we fished. 2. Capt. Took time with my mentally challenged brother getting into tight fishing spots so he could cast into the fish. 3. Lastly he made everyone feel welcome and that they were part of the team including my alternate lifestyle sister. First time I’ve seen him smile in a month. It was a great trip!

Captain DJ is a great guy that knows where to go and gets you on a fish. If things are going well, he’ll move spots and find somewhere that has some fish. Overall, it was a great time!

My two sons and I have now done two trips with Captain DJ. Both years we caught tons of fish and importantly had an absolute blast with DJ. He is a great human being and tremendous fisherman. Equiptment was top notch and he new the productive spots. We can’t wait for another trip in 2025. We highly recommend Captain DJ.

Captain “DJ” was a pleasure to fish with. We were on to some sea trout, snapper and a good size tarpon and pompano early. Fishing got a little slow in the afternoon but DJ ended up putting us on a huge school of red drum to finish off the day. Captain DJ is a very likable guy who works hard to deliver and did.

When I found out I was coming back to the Florida keys area I knew I had to book another trip with captain DJ. We started off the trip with two nice reds in the very beginning of the trip. After catching a few shorts and a keeper we moved to another spot. The next spot would provide snook, sheepshead, drum, and another red. After wearing them out and throwing several back we changed spots looking for tarpon. Capt. DJ was honest saying we might not get one, but he would try his best. At the next spot I landed the tarpon I had been after. If you are looking for a great guide who is personable and knowledgeable, Capt. DJ is your guy. I don’t think we could have done any better even if we were fishing at an aquarium! Already looking to come back in a few months.

Captain DJ was excellent from the second we arrived on location. Parked at his site so no worries for parking. He had everything loaded and ready to go so we hopped on the boat for a 45ish minute trip to location. Fished in an area with bait fish jumping and birds dive bombing. Saw tons of fish but unfortunately couldn’t hook any. Then moved a little further in the river and my hubby caught two sea trout and I caught one under sized redfish. We caught a bunch of flathead and sail catfish. Let them all go. When we got back to dock Captain DJ filleted fish for us from the dock. Overall, great trip fishing and would highly recommend Captain DJ! He had a great personality and was a blast to hang with all day!

DJ was fantastic! He took my 86 yr. old mother, my 12 year old son, and me out for a half day. He worked with my 12 year son who loves to fish - gave him great tips and was very patient. We caught too many fish to count - red snapper, spotted trout, shark, and a few other species. We have never caught this many fish!! Unbelievable! We can usually count the number of fish we catch on 2 hands. We took home a nice catch of trout, red snapper, and shark - all delicious! I absolutely recommend DJ to take you out for a fantastic day of fishing! Thanks again DJ!!

We went out for 3/4 day trip, and we caught 25-30 fish of all types. We caught trout, ladyfish, catfish, red snapper, jack, and saw a beautiful shark. We kept 4 great trout that DJ cleaned for us. ( 6 is bag limit ) DJ is very knowledgeable, knows the waters, and where the best places are to fish. I highly recommend him !
