Beach Fishing Adventures Sarasota 

We had an awesome time with Steve. We were considering a boat charter elsewhere before we found Steve but we are sure glad we found him. We had a successful 3 hour trip with him, dispute a huge rainstorm that blew through. He took us to a protected area under a bridge that allowed us to fish through the storm and kept us mostly dry. He has flexible with our needs and we even booked with him just the afternoon prior to our early morning trip. He had everything we needed and taught us well. We caught 5 different species of fish in our 3 hours, including many fish later used for bait. We almost did the 2 hr quick trip but I'm so glad we added the extra hour, so worth it and wish we had more time. It was a great bang for our buck- he's a great teacher and encourager and we'd recommend him to anyone!

Florida fishing with my friend Coach Steve Herich, who I’ve known for at least more than 10 years now I believe, has truly been an adventure! Catch-and-release fishing or occasional keepers from snook to snapper, flounder to trout, & around several more fish species, it has always been enriching to fish either from the beach, the piers, or the bay with him. Each time I see Steve on average of around a couple of years per visit, it has been refreshing learning/re-learning the certain techniques of fishing…especially the art of going after snook. On my last visit, it was honestly so cool seeing snook & hound-fish stalking or hitting our bait along the crashing waves right from the beach or seeing them from the pier!!! Also to mention, the wildlife education has been so enriching from Steve as he really loves not only fishing, but also making sure that while fishing, we care for our environment in a careful way. He takes pride in his passion for fishing while spreading his wealth of knowledge & experience to his clients…creating friends along the way with many blessings. Fish on!…but fish on with care. I highly recommend Coach Steve! God speed to you all!!!

We first met Captain Steve on the beach back in 2011 when he took my family fishing. I was 13 and my brother was 10, and we had such an amazing time that we talked about it for years. We only come to Longboat every few years, and after losing his number, we never made it back out—until this year. I did some digging online, found Steve again, and 15 years later we were back on the beach fishing with him! He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also so fun—he really makes the whole experience such an adventure. He even came right to where we’re staying at Veranda Beach Club. We caught tons of sea trout and pompano, and my mom landed a huge snook. Everything we caught was delicious of course. 10/10 would recommend!

Three of us went out to Longboat Key with Captain Steve. We had varying levels of experience in our group, and Captain Steve did a fantastic job tailoring his coaching to everyone's skill level. His knowledge of the local area and techniques was obvious. Steve took care of all the gear and made sure we always had a freshly baited rod in hand. Despite a slower day due to the tides, he did a great job getting us onto some fish—including my very first Snook! I would definitely book another trip with Captain Steve if I’m ever back in the area.

Had a great time with Captain Steve, we caught a variety of fish and were on the hunt for the snook and even though they eluded us it was a great time. Captain Steve was very engaging and informative for an amateur fisherman such as myself. Would definitely book with him again, fish on 🐟🐠🎣.
