Spend a fun and unforgettable day with Slobby Joe Charters in Anna Maria Island! You can fish the flats and backcountry of Tampa Bay or go to inshore waters of the Gulf. Either way, you can be sure that Captain Joe Burruezo will find the best fishing spots for you. As he always has a trick or two up his sleeve, he'll find a way to make every fishing day successful.
Your adventure will take place on a 23' Ranger bay boat which can easily navigate through shallow waters. She's powered by a 225 HP Mercury engine and a super quiet trolling motor. The boat accommodates up to 6 guests, so be sure to bring your family or fishing buddies along. She's also equipped with navigational electronics, safety gear, and a live bait tank.
Your main targets will be Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Mangrove Snapper, and many more. If your goal is to hook huge Tarpon or Snook, the best time to try it is between May and August. Fishing spots and techniques will differ depending on your goal for the day. Do you want to catch any specific species or just a lot of any fish type? Are you more interested in something that will become a very tasty meal or something that will give a great fight? Just ask Capt. Joe!
When it comes to your fishing license, fishing equipment, bait, and fish cleaning – Slobby Joe Charters got you covered! Everything is included in the price, you just need to bring some snacks and drinks.

My son and I enjoyed a great day on the water with Captain Joe and first mate Joe. They were a lot of fun to hang out with and very knowledgeable. They worked hard with a rainy forecast to put us on some fish. I’ve been out with many guides and Joe is way up there. Thanks for a great trip.

I planned a vacation to Florida by myself for the first time and wanted to go fishing. I was a bit nervous about doing a charter alone, but just went ahead and booked it. I had THE best day on the water ever. Joe made me feel so comfortable. We just started fishing and talking-we hit it off like we were old friends who hadn’t seen each other in awhile. By the end of the trip,we were just old new friends. If you’re considering anyone else, just go with Joe. He knows where to go on the water to get the right fish, actually catches his own live bait and doesn’t buy it like some others do, and you get a whole fishing experience. I will definitely book with him again the next time I come for a visit.

I'm an avid fisherman and have been on numerous chartered fishing trips when on family vacations. We made a late decision and found Joe had an available slot on the following day of booking this trip. I didn't know what to expect with making a quick decision on zero research. I can say that Joe worked harder than any captain I've experienced. He could've easily took the easy route and got out of the wind/waves and make life easier on himself. But he didn't. He worked his tail off, without hesitation, for me and my family to keep us on fish despite less than average conditions. We had storms in the area and he ran through a lot of gas to try to dodge storms and keep us fishing. He fought boat position nonstop and kept us right where we needed to be. We had an absolute blast and the snook bite was constant. We ended up with 15+ snook and most were 20"+. I was extremely impressed with this young captain and will book him again in the future. We had ages from 12-70 on this charter and Joe made sure each of us were comfortable and well taken care of. Great trip, great captain!

We had an excellent day on the water. Wind was strong but captain joe dig a great job getting us on fish. My boys caught 50+ fish and 6 different species. We had a blast! Thank you captin Joe. We will see you again
