Gran Gallo Sportfishing provides individuals, groups, and families a chance to experience world-class sport fishing in Quepos, Costa Rica. Whether you're an inshore fanatic, wanting to discover rich hidden spots as you search for those tricky to catch species or an angler itching to go offshore and battle the giants of the deep blue waters, the crew will have a trip for you. Able to accommodate various preferences and skill levels, this charter's goal is to give all customers memories they won't ever forget.
The boat that will be your fishing platform for the day is a 27' Sea Master center console, powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine. Restored as recently as 2019, it features the latest onboard electronic systems for navigation, communication, and fish finding. The vessel's also equipped with all the necessary safety equipment, an icebox, a live bait tank, and a private toilet, giving any group of anglers everything they could need for a fun and productive day on the water.
All fishing gear you'll need for your trip will be provided by the captain. This includes first-class rods and reels by Penn and Shimano, live bait, and artificial lures. The bait you're using will depend on the season and the species you're targeting but on trips using live bait, it will either be bought ahead of the trip, or caught at the beginning of it. Either way, it's always included in the price.
You'll also be provided with water, fruit, and ice. All you need to pack is your choice of food and drinks, which you'll be able to store in the dedicated onboard cooler. Also, you'll need to get a valid fishing license before you come aboard.

Sono profondamente deluso dalla mia uscita di pesca. Ero così entusiasta di andare e ho parlato con il Capitano Merlin più volte prima della nostra uscita, sia su questo sito che su Whatsapp, ed era molto gentile e sempre disponibile. MA......arrivando al porto e incontrando il Capitano Merlin, ho scoperto che non sarebbe uscito in acqua e che non esce mai nei fine settimana. Ci ha passati ai suoi due membri dell'equipaggio, che erano molto gentili e ottimi marinai, tuttavia sembravano non sapere nulla di pesca a fondo, che il Capitano Merlin mi aveva assicurato che avremmo potuto fare al mattino per le prime ore dell'uscita, e non avevano nemmeno l'esca pronta per la pesca a fondo. Erano attrezzati solo per uscire a fare la traina e, sebbene il mio ragazzo ed io abbiamo ciascuno preso un Pesce vela, non era quello che ci aspettavamo di fare PER TUTTO IL GIORNO! Anche durante la traina, l'equipaggio mi ha detto che non aveva idea di cosa fossero i punti segnati sul GPS e sembravano semplicemente girare seguendo altre barche. L'equipaggio era molto gentile e la barca e l'attrezzatura erano di prima qualità, ma non abbiamo ottenuto quello per cui abbiamo pagato e quello che ci era stato promesso! Nel complesso sono davvero molto deluso dal Capitano Merlin per non averci preparato come promesso e quando gli ho inviato le mie considerazioni dopo l'uscita, non mi ha nemmeno risposto!
