Reel Magic Adventures
Reel Magic Adventures specializes in family oriented nearshore fishing trips and also trips for the more experienced, in the Orlando, Cape Canaveral area. If you are looking for a fun, educational day on the water, then this is the charter for you! If your new to fishing, you will learn how to cast, tie knots, and most importantly, catch fish. There is nothing better than watching a child or beginner catch a fish of there life. Capt. Greg will take you and the kids to where the fish are. Capt. Greg always tries to get on the BIG fish first. Will do everything in his power to get some big fish in the boat. Even for the first timers. Would rather see a 6 year old bring in a 35inch snook then a 5 inch croaker. Thats excitement!!
Charters take place on a newer 25 ft Dusky boat, newly built in 2021. Perfect for the nearshore and Offshore waters, with a 300HP Suzuki engine and the latest navigational electronics. Capt. Greg will get you where you want to go quickly and safely. Trips can accommodate up to 4 guests.
Targeted species depending on the time of year. Jack Crevalle, Bluefish, Flounder, King Mackerel, Tripletail, Pompano, Redfish, Sheepshead, Black drum and Snook. That’s not to mention the occasional huge Stingrays, Permit, or Shark that have been known to wander the Cape Canaveral waters. Between June 1st and September 1st. The nearshore fishing is mostly catch and release. Most species have migrated up north, and other species the seasons are closed. We still target fun fish to catch. But not much to bring home.
All charters include fishing licenses, top quality fishing poles, reels, bait, and all safety equipment. Just grab your sunscreen, sunglasses, proper attire for the weather, snacks and drinks, and get ready for a great day on the water with Reel Magic Adventures.
And don’t forget, when you’re lucky enough to catch dinner, Capt. Greg will filet your catch, and package it up for you to take home! You’re only a few clicks away from this adventure!

Greg is clearly what you would call a “local fisherman” and he was honest about our skills, which were very subpar, and taught us a lot about how triple tail (prized species in the area) were supposed to be caught. The technique he has is one that other charters are asking him about (on phone and at docks) and I think the only way to learn is with someone like him who knows how these fish want to play. Highly recommended, great 3 hour trip and ended up with a “record” triple tail, almost 30 pounds!!!! Amazing day and he ended up cleaning that bad boy up along with 2 other keepers for around 7-8 pounds of pure fillet goodness. Catch ya next trip!!!
We did not catch many fish, but it would be unfair of me to lower Greg's ratings here because I felt like he worked plenty hard. I knew it was going to be cool and breezy. It wound up windier than either Greg or I expected. Greg has a good boat. One way I measure guides (I've been out a lot) is whether they bring all the possible bait. Greg does. He had live shrimp, sand fleas, and croakers (and maybe other stuff). He could find fish, they just wouldn't eat. To be clear, we did catch half a dozen in our three hours. Worth noting: When I booked this trip, I did not realize it stayed in the channel with the cruise boats. Makes sense since the fish are in deep water during the cold, but I had not expected it. Biggest positive is that we ran into two schools of big Jacks near the end and Greg stayed with them until we had tried every trick in the book, much longer than he needed to. I hooked one (it straightened the hook) but we went after them. Pleasant guy to fish with. Would go again.
My wife and I took her father and his partner for a fishing trip. Greg was not only super knowledgeable, but was focused on us catching fish and having a great experience. We caught 18 triple tail with 2 being the limit for food. With Captain Greg's recommendation we were able to get our cleaned fish (by the captain) and had lunch down the road at Rusty's.

We had a great time. We had great weather. First day fishing after four days of heavy winds and storms earlier in the week ,Captain Greg did a great job putting us on some fish. He moved us around a lot so we could catch fish. The fish bite wasn’t working out for us. We had a great time anyway. I definitely recommend Reel Magic Adventures and we will definitely be going out with them again.

Captain Greg had every bait imaginable, a clean boat and quality gear. We had a steady bite in some areas a slow bite in others. That’s fishing. There were other charters in the area and we did better than the rest. No doubt it was because Greg had all the right bait choices and worked the sonar constantly. I’ll charter with him again in the future.
