TJ BOOM Fishing 

We had a fantastic trip with TJ Boom. He provided top-quality gear and did a great job teaching me and my 13-year-old some new techniques for catching trout. TJ was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly knows the water well. We caught plenty of trout, including a few nice keepers that turned into excellent fish tacos later that day. Highly recommend booking a trip with TJ if you’re looking for a fun and productive day on the water.

Captain TJ met us at Jim’s Pier promptly Thursday morning. After a short run he set us up with bait fishing rigs and it was on! Constant fishing for the next hour We filled out a limit of Speckled Trout and then it was off to go hunting for big Reds Changing over to artificial baits we drifted a flat and immediately were hooked up My good friend from Colorado had never been saltwater fishing and of course he had an exceptional day He managed to land a Trophy Trout (27 inches) which we got pictures of then released. My buddy then proceeded to hook up with a big Redfish and boated it. At 27.5 inches it was just under and made the box. All in all Captain TJ assured me he would change things up to accommodate my experience and my buddy’s lack of experience. It was the perfect combination as we had that rare perfect day where everything fell into place One side note …. Captain TJ recommended the restaurant “Tom & Jerry’s” to have them cook our catch We took the fresh fish over that evening and the Chef put together a Sea Trout enchiladas plate that was some of the best Tex Mex I have ever experienced… Choose TJ Boomer fishing for your next trip… He knows what he is doing!

TJ was phenomenal. We were in fish pretty much all morning and when things slowed, we made a move. Due to recent weather, I don't think any of us had high expectations. TJ had us in fish all morning when many other boats were struggling. When I come back to Padre, I will absolutely book with TJ again. If we had more time this week, I would have booked a second trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water with Captain TJ. The day was questionable but the storms held off until we ended the morning with a double hook-up to complete 2 limits of trout. Back at the cleaning table before 10:00am and beat the rain. He cleaned and bagged them and we were off. He knows when to move to his different spots and it paid off. Will FOR SURE book again the next time we visit SPI. TJ is very experienced, personable and encouraging. Great time! Cant say enough.

This is our second trip with Captain TJ. We got our trout limit before 7:45 am and went looking for Reds. We threw artificial and caught and released. We ran into a good school of large reds and hooked up for a good drag pulling Red. Back before noon for another successful trip. WE WILL BE BACK!

A great captain and guide. We on the fish most of the morning. We moved to stay on them as soon as they stopped hitting. TJ is a professional at his craft providing his guests expert instruction, patience, and fun. We are already planning another trip and it will definitely be with TJ.

Trip was booked by my wife for a birthday present. Capt TJ is great. Took time to teach me new techniques and helped my wife (who doesn’t fish a lot). Calt TJ provided all the water we could drink, we brought snacks. After our trip, he recommended we take our freshly caught speckled Trout to Tom and Jerry’s for fish enchiladas…without out a doubt, the best enchiladas we’ve ever had…..thanks Capt for a wonderful time of fun and relaxation.

This was our first time in shore fishing and he got us on near record setting fish! Captain Boom did great job educating us on how to fish area. He knew when to pick up and move on to find more fish. He was very entertaining!
