Funked Up Fishing Charters LLC 

Coming from a master guide and Outfiter at home these are my comments: If you’re looking for just a smooth, easy-going guy that knows how to catch fish this is your man. First and foremost he was very safe, and had complete control of his boat and knew the water weighs like the back of his hand. We stayed on the fish the entire time we were on the boat catching several different varieties. I highly recommend Johnny and we will be visiting again.! He is a true native to the area and you get the full Florida fishing experience! Hands down 5 star!

Great day on the charter boat with Captain Johnny. We had an incredible outing! The weather was nice and Captain Johnny was an awesome guide. He knew the best spots on the Riviera Bay. Johnny seemed very knowledgeable and made me feel safe while on the charter. This was especially gratifying considering, I have a fear of the water. Very professional service, awesome tunes, and a very relaxed atmosphere. I was able to enjoy the full fishing experience with a charter company that was also able to calm my fears and made the experience worthwhile and memorable.

Relaxing, fun and very productive! In addition to enjoying the sun and scenery, Captain John was professional and has the experience to get on fish! We caught trout, ladyfish, Snook and Cobia. As a bonus to fishing, we saw dolphins, sting ray and a Manatee too! Thanks for a great experience to Captain John Funk! We certainly got Funked Up! We will be back!

Capt. Funk delivered the ultimate fishing experience. The boat was clean the crew was nice and Capt. Funk…. Simply delightful. My kids had a great time and are already asking when they can when they can go back and see Capt Funk (quite frankly so am I). Turns out you can catch the biggest fish in those small inlets. We caught an inshore slam and our expectations were shattered. It’s almost as if he has x ray vision through the murkiest depths of the sea, he’s a walking talking fish finder. If you book em he’ll hook Funked Up Fishing is the way to go!

What a day!! I have been on a few fishing charters in the past but this by far was the best. Captain Funk knew exactly where to go, I never thought I would be sore from fishing but here I am writing this with a sore bicep from pulling on so many fish!! I will definitely be back on the water with captain Funk very soon.

John Funk is a great Captain. He kept us entertained and took us to the spots where we were able to catch fish. I highly recommend Captain Funk for a fishing trip.

Captain Funk did a great job accommodating my 3 year old son and I around the Tampa Bay area. I really wanted my son to enjoy the morning on the water and maybe catch a fish or two. The Captain went above and beyond in his way of teaching/showing us his method of fishing this area. He provided water, soda, beer, snacks, equipment and Live Bait! We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to get back on the water with him this winter! Thank you Captain Funk!

Captain Funk is young and just getting started, but is clearly dedicated and skilled. He put us on the fish right away. Wasn’t the fish we necessarily wanted, but that’s fishing. We had fun and enjoyed the experience. Good guy and good boat.

We didn’t get a chance to go out with Captain John because of weather conditions, but he was incredibly professional and accommodating. He was willing to try for another day or make plans work for us. I would recommend Captain John for sure!

Great knowledgeable guide, got us into a ton of fish, including an inshore slam, and he shared his tactics and knowledge. Highly recommended!
