Excellent captain and crew

Mike runs a good boat. Super easy to work with, convenient location in Waikiki, you’re lures down as soon as you leave the harbor. Highly recommend for an easygoing group!
Mile was even keeping an eye on the weather and reached out to adjust our booking to get ahead of an incoming storm. I’m glad we did because we wouldn’t have gotten to fish otherwise. While we didn’t catch anything, we had a great trip. That’s just how it goes sometimes!

Amazing Trip!

Capt. Mike and his deckhand were amazing. They know what they are doing and were always hustling to get us fish. I would still rate them 5 stars even if we didnt catch anything. There are certainly cheaper charters on smaller boats. I chose to spend the extra money for my family because of their previous reviews and the size of the boat. It was the right decision. The seas were pretty rough. I was told that it was less rough than ususal. Regardless, it was nice to have an A/C cabin with big couches. A couple of folks on our trip got sea sick. It helped a lot that they could lay down. I could imagine what it would have been like on a 25-35’ boat. I highly recommend them and will book with them the next time I’m in town.

Fantastic trip

This was my second charter out of Honolulu and my first on the Reel Life. I will never use any other company on my return trips. I brought my two sons (10,14) along for the trip! the crew were top tier fisherman and instructors. They took the time to guide my sons through the process of what occurs if we hook up and explaned all of the facilities on the amazing vessel! We were lucky enough to catch two Mahi Mahi and had a chance at a marlin! Overall the only thing i would change is booking a longer trip for the whole day!

going fishing with 2 kids under 10 off shore is always a challenge, but Mike and the crew made us feel comfortable and safe. in the past other charters didn’t want any part of that challenge but ohana fishing didn’t shy away! We had a great time and caught fish. thank you for the great memories!

We had an absolute blast with Captain Mike and first mate Kahi aboard Reel Life! From the moment we stepped on the boat, they made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience.
We had some thrilling action on the water—hooked a barracuda (it got away!), came close to landing two good-sized marlins and a mahi, and still got to see them up close. Even though we didn’t bring them in this time, it was all part of the excitement and adventure. As my son wisely said, “It’s called fishing, not catching.”
Captain Mike and Kahi’s knowledge, effort, and fun energy made the day one we’ll never forget. We’re already planning our return trip—this crew is the real deal. Mahalo for the memories!
