Destin Family Adventures 

Capt. Brett was professional, knowledgeable, and was able to put our party on limits of fish. He was always responsive to all of my communications. Our party had an incredible day of fishing and it was Capt. Brett who made that happen. I will ask Capt. Brett to captain my next Destin fishing adventure and highly recommend him to others.

Brought my 19yo daughter and 16yo son out. It was our fisrt time going fishing the gulf, we have plenty of lakes and rivers around us at home. Captain Brett knew the place, and we had fish on the line quickly, and didn’t really slow down. We caught nearly our limit of Mingo, and some time to troll for some wahoo. The captain was very efficient and always either helping bait hooks, or getting fish off. His instructions were always clear and easy to understand.

Captain Brett provided an amazing charter for us! We had five of us on board and he kept all of us on fish the whole time - never waiting for fish to bite too long and moving to find a new spot as they slowed down. He was baiting hooks and removing fish the entire time (dont forget having to keep the boat on the spot while doing all of this). The boat was clean with good gear. Just book the trip with Captain Brett - you will not be disappointed!

Captain Brett was amazing! It was my nine year-old son and I and Captain Brett made sure that we were both accommodated and put us on fish at every spot. We had some pop-up storms, that are never predictable on the Gulf of America😉, but we weren’t worried, as Captain Brett was born on the water, a Navy veteran, and a charter boat Captain for quite a bit, he was able to man the boat through some tough conditions. One of our last catches was a possibly a big red snapper and a shark snagged it just before we were pulling into the boat and our favorite Line that he said the whole trip was “Well. It started as a snapper”. The shark won the battle but we have many stories to share because of Captain Brett! We come to Destin/Miramar annually so we will be seeing him again. Thank you Captain for the memories!

We booked the four hour charter starting at 7am, after studying options far more diligently than in past seasons. Even though we have generally enjoyed our prior fishing charters with different groups, we have never had the kind of experience that makes you want to come back - that is why we spent so much time researching, asking for recommendations, and reading reviews. After much study we chose Captain Brett. Everything about our experience was top class. First, we were immediately contacted by Captain Brett. That was not too unusual for charters, but what was unusual was his responsiveness to questions, updates on weather and courtesy / respect that came through even in the emails / texts and calls. It is not that we were demanding clients - I think we only asked questions in one email - instead, Captain Brett was simply that attentive. When we arrived at the dock early Captain Brett was already at the boat and ready to go. The boat was fantastic! At 32' with comfortable seating, more than sufficient room, some shade if needed, and designed for a fast / smooth ride. The weather started "good" but we did have to dodge some storms - Captain Brett kept us safe and found fish in more than one location as the weather forced him to move. Captain Brett immediately put us on the fish - I believe I hooked a red on my first drop, and we all caught many (largely reds, but also other fun species including a good size shark -- we were not fishing for sharks and we got it off the line after getting a good look; the shark actually took our grouper as we were reeling it up resulting in a fairly long fight and great upper body workout). Honestly, we did not keep count, but we collectively caught allot of fish, we were having too much fun to count and we never had to wait long to have another fish on; keeping a few to cook that evening. I realize the weather and even the level of fishing success is largely random - for us, this outing was a huge success. Even had we not caught any fish, however, I would still recommend Captain Brett - he is the real reason we all had a great time. Yes, he got us on fish and he kept our lines baited, but more to the point, we enjoyed the conversation and experience as a whole. I highly recommend Captain Brett, and I look forward to the next time we come to Destin as we will book with him again - probably a longer charter. Thanks Captain!!
