Great Trip!

When I started looking online for a fishing charter, it was overwhelming with the number of options out there. Able Fisherman Charters stood out with one of the larger boats and solid reviews, so I decided to book with them.
This trip was for me, my 11- and 14-year-old sons, and my 72-year-old father-in-law, so I was looking for something that would be fun and comfortable for everyone.
I initially booked a 4-hour charter starting at 10 AM, but within minutes Captain Steve Paul called to discuss the trip and suggested an earlier start for better fishing. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and set clear expectations. We ended up moving to a 7 AM start and extending to 5 hours so we could include bottom fishing.
At the dock, we met Captain Steve Paul and deckhand Matt, both were welcoming and professional. After a quick safety briefing, we headed out and quickly got into Spanish mackerel, which was a great start. We then moved to deeper water for bottom fishing, where Matt gave us helpful tips and got everything set up.
As soon as we dropped lines, the action was nonstop. For about three hours we were constantly catching fish, so much so that my boys were complaining their arms were tired. We hit our limit on redfish and pulled in a bunch of sea bass, triggerfish and Red Snapper. All told, we caught well over 100 fish, releasing many due to size limits (Triggers) or bag limits (reds) and out of season (Red Snapper).
Captain Steve Paul and Matt were excellent, attentive, fun, and made sure everyone in our group had a great time.
Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Highlight of our Trip!!

Captain Steve and first hand Matt did an outstanding job with three 13 year old boys and two dads. Wonderfully clean large boat where we caught over 85lbs of fish during our 4 hour tour.
Definitely will be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for, as my son says “by far the highlight of spring break” outing!

Our trip with Able Fisherman Charters in Panama City, Florida was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we stepped onto the boat, we knew we were in for something special. Captain Steve is professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming, but I have to give a special shoutout to Matt, the deckhand, who truly made the experience unforgettable.
Matt was absolutely amazing with our children. His patience, humor, and enthusiasm kept them engaged and excited the entire time. He took the time to explain everything to them, from how to bait a hook to reeling in their very first fish. Watching their faces light up with each catch was priceless, and Matt celebrated every single moment with them like it was his own.
The trip was perfectly organized, and we caught more fish than we ever expected! The boat was clean and well-equipped, and the crew's experience and passion for what they do really shined through. It wasn’t just a fishing trip, it was a family memory that we’ll cherish forever.
If you're looking for a top-notch charter experience in the Panama City area, Able Fisherman Charters is the way to go. We can’t wait to come back, and we’ll definitely be booking again!

Had the pleasure of taking my 18 year old son out on his fist charter with Captain Steve today. I chose this boat becuase of the boat type with this being his first time out and it did not dissapoint!!!! Captain Steve and his crew were awesome even while we were trying to out run the bottle nose dolphins that we were feeding with every chatch we had for 2 hours. We put fish in the cooler and had a blast doing it!!!!

This fishing trip was our family's favorite part of our entire vacation!
The captain Steve, and deckhand Matt knew right where the fish were!
Informative, fun and extremely helpful.
We were fish on from the start!
We were able to get our fish cleaned and filleted at the dock & they recommended a local restaurant 'J Michaels' across the street. Where we brought our fillets in & had a family style dinner right then.
All in all, an amazing experience!
Next time we use their expertise, we will book the longer trip for sure!
Highly recommend!
