Auston was on time, friendly, and had all the gear we needed. He was quick to help my son and I as we fished, netting, moving the boat, re-tieing lines, etc. He got us on lots of fish, of several different species. He always had recommendations, but let us try things and offered us advice on how to do what we wanted. He did really well teaching my kid to use a baitcaster on lighter tackle, when that is what my son asked to do. Would recommend for a seasoned fisherman wanting to target specific fish, to a novice just looking to have fun.
Captain Auston did an amazing job coaching two novice fishermen toward success! Kept an eye on casting and offered advice when needed. Knew t the river and fishing spots, pretty much reeled in fish at ea location. Overall a wonderful experience, and if travels take us to Baudette again, will absolutely look him up!

We fished for walleye in the morning and pike in the afternoon, had steady action all day and caught a few lunkers. Austin was a very pleasant person to spend the day with, I would definitely book another trip with him again.
Great day of fishing, one of us caught our biggest sturgeon yet!!
No problem catching lots of walleye even though water became choppy and wind got up.
