We chose captain James for a fishing trip during our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been more happy! he was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. we’ve taken several charters on our trips in the past but I definitely would say this was our favorite. we ended up catching 7 different species on our first time fishing the pacific! I would absolutely recommend him and we will be back for more!!

Great guide, great fishing beautiful day

Half Day Trip — Inshore il April 1, 2026 • 3 adulti

Capt. James took my two teenage boys and me out this morning, and we had a great time. The fishing wasn’t fast and furious, but we still managed to catch several fish for the table—which was exactly what we were hoping for on the last day of our vacation. We ended up keeping six fish, including bass, rockfish, and a couple of other species. Capt. James really came through for us. He was funny, professional, and kept us entertained the entire trip. Highly recommend—would definitely book with him again!

Spring Break Fishing

A Half Day Trip — Bay il April 14, 2026 • 2 adulti • 1 bambino

We had a great time on the bay with Captain James. My two sons ages 7 and 14, and I wanted a fishing trip on our spring break trip to San Diego. Recommend dressing for cool morning weather which we did. We had a good outing with great weather, a perfect experience for young beginner fishermen.

What a day!

A Half Day Trip - Bay il November 7, 2025 • 2 adulti • 2 bambini

We had the most incredible day on the water with Captain James! My son, his friend, my mom, and I spent a beautiful day bay fishing and made memories we’ll never forget. Captain James was kind, patient, and so knowledgeable — he made sure everyone had a great time and learned something new. He guided us to some amazing catches (we brought in over 20 fish, including a 20-pound Black Sea Bass!) and kept the experience fun and relaxed from start to finish. It was truly one of those perfect days you wish you could bottle up and relive. We can’t wait to go again — Captain James is the best!

wow what a great fishing trip!

A Half Day Trip - Bay il October 18, 2025 • 3 adulti

i was a little apprehensive to book it first because of what we were going to catch and not the captain since it was October already but i was proved wrong pretty quickly. I opted for the saltwater trip and Captain James put us on the fish pretty quickly. My son (his first charter) was catching fish left and right. It didnt matter what species it was. I wanted to catch a Barracuda and Bonita and i was so happy when it happened. My wife also caught her share of fish and the largest of the trip, a white seabass. Beautiful fish. We had a great time and would recommend Capt James to everyone!
