Stray Cat Charters vi invita a vivere un'autentica esperienza di pesca galvestoniana con il Capitano Jerry Praker. Jerry ha pescato nelle acque di Galveston, Texas, per tutta la vita e proviene da una famiglia di pescatori commerciali che operano qui dagli anni '20. Il Chris Craft Flybridge da 30' è stato originariamente costruito nel 1977 e restaurato nel 2017 per aggiornare tutte le sue caratteristiche e offrire ai suoi ospiti un'esperienza di pesca ancora migliore. L'imbarcazione è molto confortevole con un letto, una cucina, un bagno, aria condizionata all'interno della cabina, un sistema multimediale per l'intrattenimento e molte altre caratteristiche. Utilizzerete il vivaio per conservare l'esca, la ghiacciaia per mantenere fresco il pescato e il flybridge per avvistare i pesci.
Il Capitano Jerry può portarvi a pescare in acque costiere o costiero, a seconda dell'opzione di uscita di pesca che scegliete per il vostro gruppo. L'uscita di pesca di mezza giornata nei moli è riservata a Redfish, Trout, Passera e Black Drum. Le uscite di pesca agli squali (queste sono solo catch and release, incluse le razze) vi permetteranno di pescare Bull Shark, Blacktip, Squalo martello e altri. Infine, se la pesca d'altura è il vostro sogno, sarete lieti di sapere che Cavalla, Jack crevalle, Ladyfish, Razza e altre specie vivono in queste acque.
Stray Cat Charters dispone di canne e mulinelli Shimano e Penn, una selezione di esche vive e artificiali e una varietà di attrezzature, e hanno un secondo presente in tutte le uscite di pesca. Se desiderate conservare del pesce per cena, possono pulire e sfilettare il vostro pescato. Tutto ciò che dovete portare è la vostra crema solare e una scelta di snack e bevande. I bambini di età inferiore ai 6 anni non sono ammessi sulla barca per motivi di sicurezza.

The fish weren’t biting - no one was catching anything, including all the boats around us. The captain did everything he could to locate fish. Both that’s fishing. We will get them next time.

Half day trip with Captain Jerry

What a great, fun, day on the gulf!! My nephews and I had a wonderful day fishing with Captain Jerry. The book is in excellent condition, the fishing rods and reels were all easy to use. With a simple lesson we were ready to cast our lines. Our group included two young teens, ages 12 and 14. As well as an old lady, 70 and slightly handicapped using a cane. Jerry, and his deck hand, Trey were patient and helpful assisting me onto (and off) the boat. We fished for a few hours and the boys caught fish such as trout, rock fish, and even a couple of eels. Captain Jerry then set the boat to trawling and we hoped to catch a couple of sharks. TJ had a shark on the line, but it jumped the hook about 4 feet from the boat. Weather was great most of the day - had some shade and a breeze at times. But we didn't really mind the hot July day because we were on the water having a blast!

I gave my husband, son in law and grandson a fishing trip for Fathers Day and they had the best time with Captain Jerry! He is great with kids and they caught plenty of fish! Storms were rolling in through Galveston this morning so Captain Jerry called to delay the trip to let the storms pass instead of just canceling. His first mate was super nice and my grandson said he liked this trip the best out of the others they have taken over the years. We will for sure book again with Captain Jerry our next trip to Galveston!!! Thanks for giving my guys such a fun trip and making their day!!

Tuesday Morning Turned Friday Afternoon
Half Day Trip – Jetty Fishing (AM) il June 14, 2022 • 3 adulti
Trip was planned months in advance was cancelled Monday night for high winds - unsafe conditions. But prior to cancelling Captain Jerry reached out and called me explaining the situation fully. He stayed in communication via calls and text messages all week while we were in Galveston with the family and as conditions improved we were able to reschedule for yesterday afternoon. Before we headed out the door to head for the marina, Capt Jerry called and said conditions are great but the fish just weren’t biting, offering to cancel the trip. I appreciated the level of communication and his candor. We went anyway. He was right - didn’t catch much but it wasn’t for his lack of effort. Capt Jerry was busy on the phone gathering info from his sources on good spots and we went to a few. That’s fishing though. The best thing that happened that day was connecting with Captain Jerry and his hand Yardstick aboard his boat Stray Cat. 100% recommended and we will be back with them in the fall.

Excellent Morning Jetty Trip

My family had a blast on our jetty fishing trip! Captain Jerry has a great heart and quick wit and was a pleasure spending a few hours with on the boat. We caught plenty of fish in all the species we were hoping for. The Captain’s expertise and friendly connections made sure we found the ‘hot spots’ to keep on catching!
The highlight of our trip was hooking into a large Jack Crevalle and orchestrating a team effort to land it after a good fight. We also enjoyed catching plenty of speckled trout, sheepshead, redfish, and catfish. As catch and release fishermen, we appreciated the extra care spent in making sure all our catches were handled correctly and released quickly in order to not disrupt their health.
A unique part of this charter was the included “first mate”, who was fantastic at helping us keep our lines in the water with fresh live bait, and netting our catches. The boat itself is very comfortable and large, with shade to retreat to if needed and a proper toilet, which was a huge selling point for my mother.
Our experience with this charter was amazing, and we would absolutely book them time and time again if we find ourselves back on the island. Thanks y’all for the memories!
