    (HALF DAY SALMON (AM))

    Great morning on the water!

Captain Luke took great care of us, and hooked us up with 10 Salmon, and even a trap full of crabs! My friends and I will definitely book a charter with him again, can't wait for next time!

(5 Hour Trip – Weekday Salmon (AM))

Fantastic trip. Best fishing experience for novice big lake fishers.

CaptainJordan's experience got us 9 Salmon in our 5 hr morning fishing on lake Michigan. Clean boat, smooth ride. Helped my 89 y/o father with the first Coho catch. Best part was I didn't have to clean the fish, all filets prepped by our captain. We had perfect weather.

    Great salmon fishing!

Our guides met us at the launch site. The boats and fishing equipment were in excellent condition. Our guides, Michael and Chris, were very experienced, friendly, and patient! Everyone caught salmon and had a great time! After the trip, they cleaned, fileted, processed, packed the salmon, and sent it home for us! Great communication and instructions! I would definitely recommend King of the River!

Cast your line and have a blast -with Captain Vlad , bit comes fast !!

This was a wonderful trip and we caught about 10 fish of different varieties including King Salmon and Rainbow Trout. Captain Vlad is very good and also very kind and goes above and beyond to ensure you, your friends and family are comfortable and have an enjoyable experience. He is always willing to share his knowledge with those willing to learn. I will definitely recommend Captain Vlad to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing and educational experience and yes catching some big fish.

    First Time Success

First time salmon fishing was a success thanks to our captain Anthony. He was very professional and knowledgeable on fishing in the area. We had a good amount of bites and ended with more than enough fish for the wife and I. Highly recommended.

Salmon are iconic game fish known for power, speed, and blazing runs. Salmon fishing draws anglers who want a fierce fight and rewarding challenge. Popular targets include Chinook (King), Coho, Sockeye, Pink, and Atlantic Salmon.

You can catch Salmon by river fishing, estuary fishing, or nearshore trolling. Drift fishing means letting your bait move naturally with the current. Bobber fishing uses a float to keep your bait at the right depth. Trolling covers water with lures or bait behind a moving boat. Fly fishing and spinning also work well with spinners, spoons, plugs, and flies.

Expect early starts, changing weather, and fast action when a Salmon takes off. Beginners and families can learn quickly, while experts fine-tune every detail. Dress in layers, bring rain gear, and wear non-slip boots or waders where allowed. Polarized sunglasses help you see fish and protect your eyes. Check with your guide or captain about provided tackle and what to bring.

Before any Salmon fishing trip, review local rules. Always check your fishing license and any needed permits or tags. Confirm season dates, open areas, and harvest regulations for your target species. Some waters require barbless hooks or catch-and-release. Rules change often, so verify them close to your trip.
