    Redfish

    2 mangrove snappers at first stop but they we’re under size. Second spot 5 over slot red fish and 1 keeper. Moved to 3 spot after the bite stop, but no luck there. Thanks, Captain Mike

A fishing charter is the most popular way onto the water, pairing anglers with a licensed local captain who knows exactly where the fish are running. Trips range from two-hour inshore outings to full days offshore, suiting everyone from first-timers to seasoned bluewater anglers. Close to shore, inshore fishing targets Redfish, Snook, and Speckled Trout across calm bays and flats. A few miles out, reef and wreck trips produce Snapper, Grouper, and Cobia. Head offshore into deep sea territory and the quarry turns to pelagic giants – Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo – while freshwater guides work lakes and rivers for Bass, Walleye, and Trout.
 
Choose from private charters for a boat to yourself, shared trips for small-group value, or larger vessels built for long-range offshore runs. Most charters arrive fully equipped, providing the boat, safety gear, rods, reels, tackle, and bait, with catch cleaning and filleting on many trips. On the majority of U.S. saltwater charters, the captain's license covers everyone aboard, though freshwater trips and some regions require your own. Whether bottom fishing over structure, trolling for fast-moving pelagics, or sight casting the shallows, a charter delivers guided access to the most productive water.
