Captain Charlie Rogers has been knee-deep into fishing ever since he could hold a rod on his own. He's a South Florida native and has fished from the Florida Keys to Miami, Bahamas, and Louisiana. He worked on several boats in the early stages of his career until he decided to go at it on his own, and hasn't looked back since.

He helped make a last-second trip become reality, and it was some of the best fishing I’ve done. I honestly couldn’t thank him enough for his accommodations. I compared a lot of different choices for charters, and overall, Against the Grain seemed like the best one. After actually going, it did not disappoint one bit. I’d recommend Captain Rodgers and Against the Grain to anyone looking to go on a charter, he’s the best there is

We booked with Against the Grain and Capt Charlie and had a great day out on the water. Caught a bunch of fish and made some memories. Capt Charlie is very knowledgeable and great to talk to. would recommend to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

Uscita di 6 ore – Altura/Relitto • 4 adultiWe first tried to get some mutton snappe bu they werent biting. we then headed out to find some Mahi. we came up ona few patches of sawgrass but we didnt have any luck. Finally we found some birds and the fight was on. we wound up with over 20 Mahi. Dinner for a few nights. Capt was great and put us where we needed to be.

They will test your skills and give you the thrill of a lifetime. Kite fishing for them is the method of choice along with slow trolling live baits and pitching baits to showering fish. Book your trip with against the grain charters while you can and get in on the action

Windy days and shallow water muttons

When the wind is blowing and you can’t get way offshore there should always be a plan B, espically during the months of January through March. This is the time of the year we’re you can have great action on the shallow patch reefs. I like to have plenty of fresh or live bait and anchor up and work an area to target big mutton snappers that cruise around shallow reefs any where from 10 to 40 foot of water . This is a great trip for all types of anglers and can be done in a 4 hour to 8 hour reef trip .
