I grew up on the water. I have been fishing since I can remember. I have worked the waters around Cape May County, NJ all of my life; from boats, the beaches, and every sort of man made structure that I could access. Fishing, crabbing, and clamming, I have done, and do it all. My family and I love the water and what it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing that with others. I also tie and sell rigs, Brown Dog Bombs, and make surf fishing plugs.

We caught multiple dogfish, kingfish, croaker, spot, and smaller bluefish. Almost finished the day with a bang as something picked up the bait on the rod rigged for sharks and rays and started peeling drag, but dropped it before we could get a hook set. The best part was Captain Frank’s willingness to share his knowledge. He openly answered questions on bait, rigs, equipment, reading the water, and more. He uses highend equipment, so he did all the casting with his rods, but I brought a surf rod along and he gave me a lesson on surf casting. I found the trip very educational and my two boys had and absolute blast. Highly recommended!

We had four people, myself, my husband, my 14-year old niece, and my 15-year old son. Frank was amazing with the kids. They’re not easy to impress and they’re already planning another outing with Frank next summer. They LOVED it. The fish weren’t cooperating as much as we would have liked, but we managed to catch some anyway, and Frank clearly knows what he’s doing…the good spots, the equipment, the different fish, the weather conditions, all of it. Honestly though, we all just enjoyed being out on the boat talking and laughing with no phones or ipads. The fish we caught were a bonus at that point. Frank just has that vibe that makes him fun to be around, and he knows what he’s doing. My son actually started to feel sick while we were out at the reef so Frank immediately headed back toward the marina to fish. Handled it calmly and very professionally, and thanks to him we got to finish out our day. If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT!!! You will not regret it! Thank you again, Frank! You have a new fan club for life!!!

One of the boys had sea sickness in the ocean which made us have to go back to the bay, Captain Frank was awesome. I will definitely fish again with him and recommend others to do so as well.

We scheduled a back bay trip but he suggested going out in the ocean and I’m so glad we listened to him. We will definitely be booking with him again. Great person and great captain!

Summer Fishing Fun!

It just keeps getting better! The surf trips are giving up good numbers of tasty fish. Have you ever tried northern kingfish? They are super tasty! Flaky mild white meat that makes great sandwiches or tacos. Besides kingfish, there are blues, croakers, spot, sharks, and rays. Great action, especially if you are introducing a child to fishing.
The 4 hour boat trips are giving up a ton of fun too. Flounder are everywhere. Mostly shorts, but some nice keepers in the mix. Triggerfish have officially invaded and pop up on random structure, or chase your catch up to rhe surface. There are also plentybof sea bass put there bending rids roo. But they are not in season yet. And tog opens back up in August. Have I mentioned the sharks? They seem to be everywhere. Big ones, little ones, and everything in between. The water has been super clear and blue lately. And if you watch, you can usually spot a shark or ray cruising past.

Good action in the back and on the reefs

Lots a fun action to be had on the fishing grounds. The back bays still have flounder holding out, along with some croakers. The reefs have a larger assortment of species; flounder, sea bass, tog, triggerfish, sea robin, sharks, and more.
It has been fun! A lot of fun. And it should just keep getting better.

Surf Fishing Fun Continues!

Had a great morning out on the beach despite the threatening weather. Decent action with kingfish and the bullnosed rays and butterfly rays provided drag burning excitement. Storms stayed away until we were wrapping it up for the day. So we lucked out all around.

Reef fishing is firing!

Andy and I ran out on calm seas in search of flounder and triggerfish. We hit the reef around 8:40am, which apparently was a tad too late. The flounder bite was earlier from reports from friends. We picked at a bunch of shorts, and I was able to land one keeper at least. Loads of little sea bass to haul up too. A few skates and dog sharks in the mix.
The water has been clear and blue, which is a great sign of things to co.e as the water warms.
Later in the day we fmtried our luck over so.e wrecks, a shift from covering the rubble for flounder. We marked a cloud of fish hovering over the wreck. Turned out to be a lot of hungry triggers! We had a blast catching and releasing them, keeping some for the table. They are really tasty! Andy even got a porgy while dropping down to the wreck.
We had action all day, and landed well over 75 fish between us. And we had some tasty fish fillets for a few meals to boot. Don't miss out!

It's Lighting Up!

The flounder bite continues to be good. The back bays are a little spotty with a hour to two hour bite window lately. But out front (in the ocean) on the reefs, has been getting better and better. As the waters warm the fishing and species available will improve.
Surf fishing has been fun! Lots of sharks and big rays right in the breakers. Kingfish, weakfish, spot, sand perch, and more have all moved in.
Boat and surf trips offer something for everyone. Call to get in on the action!
