Captain Len Slay has been slaying fish in the mountains of Georgia his whole life. Most of his best memories have been on the water catching fish, according to him. He decided to start guiding because he wanted to share those amazing fishing moments with others.

Dal meteo al pescato, non avremmo potuto chiedere di meglio. Ci sono stati momenti in cui c'era così tanta azione che riuscire a tenere tutte le lenze esche in acqua era una vera sfida. Detto questo, è stata l'attenzione del Capitano Len verso i nostri due bambini piccoli a fare la differenza. Si è assicurato che i ragazzi si divertissero il più possibile in barca. Hanno sorriso dall'inizio alla fine dell'intera uscita. Ovviamente l'azione quasi continua ha aiutato. La pesca ha conquistato il primo posto tra le cose che abbiamo fatto durante la nostra settimana di vacanza in montagna, superando la raccolta delle mele con la nonna a Mercier. Ha portato mia moglie, la nostra bambina di 6 anni e me per una mattinata incredibile sul Lago Blue Ridge. Abbiamo preso il nostro primo black bass nei primi 10 minuti, e da quel momento l'uscita era già un successo. Ero un po' preoccupato di mantenere mia figlia coinvolta, visto che ha 6 anni e può perdere interesse abbastanza in fretta, ma il Capitano Len è stato fantastico con lei. L'ha lasciata giocare con le esche vive, le ha spiegato quello che stavamo facendo, le ha mostrato la barca e l'ha fatta sentire parte dell'avventura. Abbiamo esplorato diverse zone del lago, ci siamo fermati in vari punti di pesca e abbiamo fatto una pesca straordinaria. Onestamente ho perso il conto, ma dobbiamo aver preso 15 o più pesci, tra cui spotted bass, striped bass, walleye, pesce gatto e persico. Abbiamo persino fatto un bagno nel lago prima di tornare. Più che una semplice uscita di pesca, è stata un'esperienza familiare indimenticabile. Il Capitano Len ha contribuito a creare uno dei momenti più belli delle nostre vacanze, e gli siamo così grati per i ricordi che ci ha regalato. He made sure everything was taken care of and that we had a wonderful time- he was at the launch and ready early, rods rigged, and had plenty of bait in the well. He is very repectful, helpful, and knowledgeable without being overbearing at all. Len worked very hard to get us on the fish by hitting a few spots but he was always ready with fresh bait or the net and handled the chaos of multiple fish on at once. The bite started a little slow but we were always marking good fish on the bottom machine- he knows how to find the fish. We picked up a few nice ones along the way but the last spot was on fire with several big fish being caught.

Uscita di pesca di mezza giornata (AM) • 4 adultiThe fish were lock-jawed on the morning we went out. Capt. Len said it was the worst bite he has seen in over six weeks. Fish were showing up on the finder and even jumping all around us, including two ~30 lbs catfish (I had never seen catfish break the water like that before), but nothing was biting. Capt. Len drove up and down the river hitting different spots. He even extended our trip by an extra hour, until our nephew caught a ~4 lbs largemouth. I really appreciated Capt. Len's extra effort on an unusually, tough day.

He is so knowledgeable on the best spots but also honest about the process and that sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don’t. This was our second year with Captian Len, once in Blue Ridge and this time in Tennessee. We caught about 16 fish, threw some back and kept a few monsters. Captain Len is patient and consistent, highly recommend this charter!
