I have always been a keen fisherman. As a boy, I fished on the Gwendraeth for Sewin and Trout,etc. I had my first boat in the early '80s and since then have been building leisure fishing boats in the UK, striving to give the ordinary fisherman a strong, seaworthy, well-designed craft. A BSAC dive leader, my team produced dive ribs and ran a dive trip business in Pembrokshire. I caught my first Blue Marlin in Madeira and although I have fished in many countries, from that moment on I was hooked!

Big Game Marlin Fishing • 2 adultiÈ stata un'esperienza fantastica a bordo di Sorted. Un grande ringraziamento al capitano e al secondo, entrambi incredibilmente cordiali, accoglienti e professionali. La barca era pulita, ben tenuta e dotata di tutto il necessario per una bella giornata in acqua. Abbiamo avuto qualche abboccata poco dopo aver lasciato il porto, ma purtroppo i pesci si sono slamati. Abbiamo comunque pescato qualcosa, anche se non le specie che speravamo di prendere. Fa parte del gioco! In generale, abbiamo trascorso un'uscita di pesca molto piacevole e raccomandiamo assolutamente Sorted a chiunque cerchi un'esperienza di pesca sportiva professionale e divertente a Madeira.

Entrambi erano cordiali, comunicativi e genuinamente professionali, veri pescatori che amano chiaramente quello che fanno. Il Sorted è attrezzato alla perfezione per il lavoro, con Shimano Tiagra nuovi di zecca e artificiali per marlin di prima qualità. Alex aveva pubblicato i report di pesca nei giorni precedenti alla nostra uscita, quindi le aspettative sulla probabilità di cattura erano state impostate con precisione. A fine giornata abbiamo agganciato e portato a bordo un marlin blu da 375 libbre. Ha dato vita a un grande combattimento. Purtroppo si è avvolto con la coda durante il recupero, e nonostante i tentativi dell'equipaggio di rianimarlo a bordo, non siamo riusciti a rilasciarlo. Questo pesce era una cattura da lista dei desideri per me, e l'equipaggio è il motivo per cui è successo. Un bel bonus: una balena di Bryde è emersa vicino a noi mentre eravamo in traina. Bevande fresche, frutta e snack sono stati offerti durante tutta la giornata. Per quanto ne so, eravamo l'unica barca della flotta del marina di Calheta ad aver catturato un marlin nella nostra data. Un enorme grazie ad Alex e Jamie. Se mai tornerò a Madeira, pescherò di nuovo con loro senza esitazione. Altamente raccomandato.

Big Game Marlin Fishing • 3 adultiPurtroppo non siamo riusciti ad agganciare un Marlin. Il nostro capitano Alex ha fatto tutto il possibile, andando ben oltre le aspettative per cercare di farci prendere un pesce. Nonostante ciò, è stata una grande uscita di pesca e torneremo per riprovare.

Great day on the water, slow start fishing but stopped for a great lunch with swimming and diving off the boat. In the last hour we hooked a feisty blue marlin, on an 80lb rig and our proven tuna jet, got the fish to the boat and all of a sudden we were surrounded by a shoal of trigger fish, very feisty fish tested our captain aka wireman but released lit up blue.

July 17th. Out with experienced angler Terry, we raised and he got this fish to the boat. Safely released it swum energetically away..

21 boats fished this out of Madeira, 160 boats world wide. We won this competition for australian clients in 2019. We fished this year with Andy and Alison from Somerset. The competition started at 8.30, at 10. 35 we hooked a lively 500+ Blue marlin, a qualifying fish for the comp. After a spectacular display at the back of the boat the fish went down and took 1 3/4 hours to get to the boat. We had to take the fish to be weighed and it came in at a respectable 557lbs. It was the fourth biggest fish in the world and the only fish qualifying in Madeira. The fish was donated to the Madeiran fisheries for scientific research.
It was a male fish previously males were only thought to reach a max of 350lbs, so maybe a record breaker in its own right.

1st time boat fishing Steve and Lorraine joined us for a full day big game marlin fishing. The action started with a blue marlin that hit the long then took the shotgun strpped a hundred yard off the reel before pulling the hook. Half an hour later we had a white marlin hit the shotgun, bill wrapped and pulled the hook. Later in the day we had an explosion on the rigger lure, the fish went nuts at the back of the boat jumping across the spread all lit up and then coming straight at the boat. Expending all its energy in the first manic 5 minutes Steve had the fish to the boat in 15 minutes, he took to the chair like a pro!.

Absollutely beatuiful day with a lovely dutch family, we trolled to a jigging mark off the south west point off Ponta do Pargo. We caught a variety of fish including, pargo, garoupa, mahi mahi, grouper 12lbs and a 20lb amberjack.
