I was laid off in May 2016 from the oilfield and at the same time, my son was also diagnosed with cancer. I immediately had to find an alternative resource for my family to survive. I've had 'Revelry' (my 27' Catamaran) since 2012 and figured that I must sell her to make ends meet until I found another job. My wife told me that I should put the boat to work with my love of fishing. I had met Captain Scott at a networking mixer in the Woodlands while we both still worked in the oilfield. He had his captain's license so we talked about chartering the boat, although, at the time I didn't really care much for the idea because I didn't want to lose my love of fishing. However, it didn't take long after my wife convinced me to get to work. In the first 5 months of 2016, we fished with over 1,000 customers. We now have 6 boats in the fleet!! I am a USCG and state of Texas licensed guide, a certified Weighmaster (IGFA/state record certification), and Texas Director of Saltwater Tournaments.

Leggendo le recensioni, sapevamo che questo era il charter che volevamo provare e non ci hanno deluso. Hanno superato le nostre aspettative. Il Capitano James e Matt hanno fatto un lavoro straordinario. Ci hanno persino aiutato a catturare uno squalo, che era quello che volevo. Preparatevi ad attivare core e braccia quando si cattura uno squalo. Entrambi hanno condiviso curiosità divertenti, che adoriamo, e si sono dimostrati molto competenti. Ci siamo sentiti al sicuro e a nostro agio con loro. Torneremo sicuramente a pescare con loro. Raccomando vivamente Oilfield Outkasts!!!

Dal momento in cui siamo saliti a bordo, l'equipaggio ci ha tenuti impegnati per tutta la mattina, assicurandosi che l'azione non si fermasse mai. Mio figlio ha preso un incredibile red snapper da 15 libbre, e il suo amico ha catturato un enorme redfish, che è stata un'emozione incredibile per tutti a bordo. Quando le abboccate si sono diradate, le guide non hanno perso tempo — ci hanno spostati in nuovi spot e ci hanno rimesso subito sul pesce. L'equipaggio era competente, attento e bravissimo con i bambini, rendendo l'uscita di pesca divertente e senza stress. Si capisce che conoscono davvero queste acque e sono impegnati a garantire che i loro ospiti abbiano un'uscita di pesca di successo. Uscita di 5 ore (AM) - Fino a 9 miglia • 2 adultiL'uscita di pesca di 5 ore è stata perfetta per le persone che erano con me. Abbiamo fatto un po' di tutto in termini di pesca. Il TS ha un po' rovinato quello che stavano prendendo - ma abbiamo preso tantissimi gafftop e diversi tipi di squali. Abbiamo portato a bordo un sacco di red snapper, ma solo uno da tenere. L'equipaggio era fantastico. Siamo tornati a casa con il pesce e le braccia a pezzi - non si poteva chiedere di più ;)

Abbiamo pescato diversi pesci gatto (niente foto) e due squali - un blacktip shark e uno spinner. Capt. Rodney e Clayton sono stati fantastici! Non vedo l'ora di tornarci!!! Se siete a Surfside Beach/Freeport o state per andarci e volete uscire a pescare - raccomando vivamente Oilfield Outkasts Charters

Avevo molte domande quando abbiamo fatto la nostra prima uscita e sono tra i pochi che rispondono e chiariscono i dubbi, cosa che ritengo fondamentale per i neofiti della pesca d'altura come eravamo noi. Non è una domanda, prenotate con loro!!

Bull Red/Big Shark Party in Freeport, TX

Got a few 5 hour charters done over the past couple days. These groups were fishin' 'til their arms fell off! OK, not literally, but they were physically worn out by the end of the trip. And plenty of meat for the frying pan.

Fishing's good & weather's *finally* get

If you've checked our weather here, you've seen that it's been pretty bad. Days of high winds resulting in rough seas, thunderstorms, and a little flooding. We've had to cancel alot of trips, but the ones we managed to get done weren't too shabby!
Our nearshore trips have been catching Black Drum, Shark, Jack Crevalle, Catfish, and limiting on Bull Reds.
If you've never caught a Jack Crevalle, you're missing out on a great fight. While they aren't any good to eat, they fight hard, making them a fun challenge to fight and catch!
And if a Shark is on your bucket list, we've got plenty of 'em.
Although we're still anxiously anticipating Kings, we haven't seen any yet. But we'll keep trying 'til we get 'em!

Fishing in Freeport TX is heating up!

Were approaching the time ofnyear when offshore fishing starts heating up! Our target species this time of year is usually Red Drum (Bull Red), Blacktip Shark, and King Mackerel. These past couple of days, we got limits of Red Drum, and also caught and released Black Drum. Our clients hooked up with Blacktip Sharks, Spinner Sharks, and Bonnethead Sharks. A nice Jack Crevalle took the bait along with some Cownose Rays that were released. And of course, the Catfish that are set on being made into tacos!
