Captain John Rainone is one of the most experienced and capable captains in Rhode Island. He has been running charters for over four decades and was President of the RI Party & Charter Boat Association for over a quarter of a century. Captain John became a fisherman because he enjoyed fishing and wanted to establish a 2nd career. My customers enjoy fishing on L'il Toot and most become like family. There is no stress, yelling, or fear on L'il Toot. Capt. John, Capt. Mike and his mates are professionals that enjoy helping you catch fish and enjoying your day on the water. We cater to experienced fishermen as well as novice, women, children and families. Capt. might even cookl up some of the fish you catch so you can see how good they are to eat. Just ask the Capt. any questions you have and you both will put together a great memory that will last a lifetime.

    Abbiamo prenotato questo charter di pesca per il compleanno di mio figlio, ed è stata davvero un'esperienza straordinaria dall'inizio alla fine. La barca era pulita, confortevole e ben attrezzata, e l'equipaggio era eccezionale. Erano incredibilmente attenti, competenti e si sono assicurati che tutti si divertissero durante tutta l'uscita di pesca. Si sono impegnati al massimo per rendere speciale il compleanno di mio figlio, e il loro entusiasmo e professionalità hanno reso la giornata indimenticabile. Che tu sia un pescatore esperto o sia la tua prima volta in acqua, raccomando vivamente questo charter. Non vediamo l'ora di tornare per un'altra uscita di pesca!

    Fantastico 4° viaggio!

    Mia figlia ha deciso che voleva andare a fare pesca d'altura e che esperienza è stata! Una giornata assolutamente perfetta, con un tempo splendido. L'equipaggio era fantastico, dal Capitano Mike a Joe, il primo ufficiale di bordo. Ci hanno davvero insegnato molto sui diversi pesci - un po' di storia e curiosità divertenti - questi ragazzi erano davvero fantastici. Il Capitano Mike ci ha portati fuori per 6 ore al largo della costa settentrionale di Block Island, assicurandosi che fossimo dove si trovavano i pesci - e Joe si è assicurato che li tirassimo su! Ne abbiamo presi di belli grossi, 1 a testa per noi in 5 - ero contenta che dovessero essere rimessi in acqua (sono fatta così) - ma abbiamo pescato del black sea bass che abbiamo cucinato dopo ed era ottimo! Un divertimento enorme. Consiglierei questa uscita di pesca a chiunque, per una bella giornata in famiglia o con un gruppo di amici.

    We have been stopping at the NE of Block Island and jigging up some mackerel. Then livelining them to the bass. Bottom fishing for sea bass,fluke and scup is improving.

    Abbiamo trascorso una giornata fantastica vicino a Block Island! Abbiamo pescato tantissimi pesci. Il capitano John e Mike conoscevano molto bene le zone di pesca e le diverse specie che abbiamo incontrato. Consiglio assolutamente Lil Toot a chiunque cerchi un charter di qualità.

    I took my to 2 adult kids to fish for Stripers and had the greatest fishing day in years. John has been fishing these waters for 40 years or more and showed us a great time. We caught our limit of striped bass and had to throw back some monsters which my daughter couldn't believe she landed (pictures on John's facebook). Also caught some sea bass and fluke to round out the day and are going to be able to fill our freezer. I would highly recommend John and Lil Toot for a great day of fishing.

Some Big Bass have moved into our waters

We have been trolling with umbrella frames for Striped Bass and blues...The rods have been screaming out as we have been hooking into 40-50 lb fish...The Blues are also gorilla sized. Sometimes we are catching multple fish on one rig. One pass both rods had 4 bass on each rig, but 2 broke off the rig on each rod, leaving us with a 50, 2 in the 40's and 1 in the 30's.

Block Island Fishing

We trolled around and caught a mix of Striped Bass and Blues. Then we went bottom fishing and caught some Fluke and Sea Bass. Had many throwbacks on the fluke due to the 19" size limit, and the Sea Bass are still moving into the waters so we only caught a handful of keepers and a few throwbacks.

Block Island Fishing

Striped bass fishing has finally turned on at Block Island. Mixed sizes from 23'-27' throw backs to 48" keeper fish. One customer had an umbrella rig with a 25, 30 and a 40 lb fish all at once. Black sea bass fishing is super and fish are up to 4 lbs. Fluke fishing is good with fish to 6 lbs. and Scup to 3 lbs.
