Captain John Rainone is one of the most experienced and capable captains in Rhode Island. He has been running charters for over four decades and was President of the RI Party & Charter Boat Association for over a quarter of a century. Captain John became a fisherman because he enjoyed fishing and wanted to establish a 2nd career. My customers enjoy fishing on L'il Toot and most become like family. There is no stress, yelling, or fear on L'il Toot. Capt. John, Capt. Mike and his mates are professionals that enjoy helping you catch fish and enjoying your day on the water. We cater to experienced fishermen as well as novice, women, children and families.
Capt. might even cookl up some of the fish you catch so you can see how good they are to eat.
Just ask the Capt. any questions you have and you both will put together a great memory that will last a lifetime.

The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the crew was outstanding. They were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone had a great time throughout the trip. They went above and beyond to make my son’s birthday special, and their enthusiasm and professionalism made the day unforgettable. Whether you’re an experienced angler or it’s your first time out on the water, I highly recommend this charter. We can’t wait to come back for another trip!

Uscita di 4 ore - 12:00 • 6 adultiMy daughter decided she wanted to go deep sea fishing and what an experience it was! An absolute perfect day, perfect weather. The crew was great, from Capt. Mike, and Joe the 1st mate. They actually taught us a lot about different fish- some history and fun facts- these guys were very cool. Capt. Mike took us out for 6 hrs- off the Nodthern coast of Block Island, and ensured we were where the fish were- and Joe made sure we brought the fish up ! We had some big ones, 1 each for us- 5- I was glad they had to be put back ( that's me) but -we did catch some black sea bass that we cooked later and it was great! So much fun. I would recommend this trip to anyone, for a fun family day or with a bunch of friends.

Striped Bass are here and they’re hungry

We have been stopping at the NE of Block Island and jigging up some mackerel. Then livelining them to the bass. Bottom fishing for sea bass,fluke and scup is improving.

The Striped bass fishing was great. We caught them trolling frames, and jigging parachute lures.

Some Big Bass have moved into our waters

We have been trolling with umbrella frames for Striped Bass and blues...The rods have been screaming out as we have been hooking into 40-50 lb fish...The Blues are also gorilla sized. Sometimes we are catching multple fish on one rig. One pass both rods had 4 bass on each rig, but 2 broke off the rig on each rod, leaving us with a 50, 2 in the 40's and 1 in the 30's.

We trolled around and caught a mix of Striped Bass and Blues. Then we went bottom fishing and caught some Fluke and Sea Bass. Had many throwbacks on the fluke due to the 19" size limit, and the Sea Bass are still moving into the waters so we only caught a handful of keepers and a few throwbacks.

Striped bass fishing has finally turned on at Block Island. Mixed sizes from 23'-27' throw backs to 48" keeper fish. One customer had an umbrella rig with a 25, 30 and a 40 lb fish all at once. Black sea bass fishing is super and fish are up to 4 lbs. Fluke fishing is good with fish to 6 lbs. and Scup to 3 lbs.
