    Consiglio vivamente Rocketman Charters! Un capitano molto socievole che si è dato da fare come un matto per farci pescare. Abbiamo preso una red fish nella misura consentita, 10-15 passere, con 6 bei pesci da tenere. Un whiting di bella taglia e un Jack. Più qualche blennio, un paio di pesci gatto e un mangrove snapper sottomisura. I blennii e i pesci gatto sono una seccatura, ma recuperare il pesce è sempre divertente. A fine giornata abbiamo trovato diversi bei tarpon che inseguivano i cefali vicino ai pescherecci di gamberetti, ma non siamo riusciti a farli abboccare. 2 lamantini hanno nuotato proprio sotto la barca! Abbiamo visto un sacco di delfini e bellissimi uccelli acquatici. Tutto sommato un'esperienza fantastica!

    Abbiamo trascorso un momento fantastico durante la nostra uscita di pesca costiera! Jonathan è stato incredibilmente gentile, paziente e competente. Ha fatto un lavoro straordinario nell'insegnare a mio figlio, assicurandosi che capisse cosa fare mantenendo l'uscita divertente ed emozionante. Abbiamo pescato parecchi pesci e abbiamo persino portato a casa un paio di bei esemplari da tenere! È stata un'esperienza meravigliosa dall'inizio alla fine, e si capisce che ama davvero quello che fa.     Abbiamo fatto un'uscita di pesca nel pomeriggio. Eravamo un po' in ritardo, ma il capitano aveva la barca pronta e ci ha portato in acqua velocemente. Mio figlio adora pescare e imparare tutto quello che può sui diversi modi di pescare; il capitano era molto gentile e ha risposto a tutte le domande di mio figlio. Sembrava davvero felice di portarci fuori. Ci siamo divertiti moltissimo e torneremmo sicuramente di nuovo.

    Il Capitano Jonathan, 31 anni, è molto simpatico. È stato comprensivo quando siamo stati in ritardo a causa del traffico e della nebbia. Poiché siamo arrivati con 30 minuti di ritardo, ha aggiunto mezz'ora al nostro tempo di pesca senza costi aggiuntivi. Abbiamo pescato in quattro location diverse con tre tipi diversi di esca. Abbiamo preso tre bei Sheepshead e un piccolo Redfish da tenere. Valuterei questa un'esperienza molto positiva. Non è necessario andare in un resort per prenotare un buon charter di pesca. Lo ricontatterò sicuramente.

    As we near the end of May the flounder fishing inshore will be good for several weeks. Live mullet fishing is always a blast as this leads to great bycatch of redfish,trout, and jack crevalles. Occasionally a tarpon will strike as well.

    We are at the end of April and the fishing has started its transition into the Summer pattern ever so slightly. The Water temperature is still hovering around 70 and the redfish, sheepshead, and flounder have been loving it. Plenty of great action as of late

    La mia quarta uscita di pesca con Rocketman; Non sono mai andato nello stesso posto due volte! Si pesca sempre. Quest'ultima uscita è stata particolarmente memorabile per la pesca a vista al Redfish in coda di primo mattino. Abbiamo poi continuato a catturare diversi Redfish e Passera. Preferisco l'uscita da 6 ore rispetto a quella da 4 ore perché offre maggiore flessibilità con le maree.

    A metà settimana mi è venuta voglia di andare a pescare. Ho prenotato all'ultimo minuto con il Capitano Jon, e lui non mi ha deluso! Anche se i pesci non abboccavano, è riuscito comunque a farmi pescare qualche Sheepshead e ci siamo divertiti un sacco. Questo charter in particolare è ottimo per gruppi piccoli, 2-3 persone. Il ritiro è stato puntuale e la barca era in ottime condizioni. 10/10, lo consiglio vivamente!

    Sono uscito con la mia bambina di 11 anni per l'uscita mattutina e ci siamo divertiti moltissimo. Oltre alle sheepshead e alle trote che abbiamo pescato, abbiamo anche visto un delfino e una tartaruga marina, il che ha reso tutto ancora più bello. L'uscita è stata perfetta proprio perché non ci ha tenuti via tutto il giorno. La guida si è occupata di tutto il necessario, quindi non c'era nulla di cui preoccuparsi tranne le bevande e gli snack.

Flounder season with bonus reds

Quick bite before the storm

Redfish galore

So far this spring we are seeing an awesome bite of redfish throughout the marsh. We have been catching them all over the jetties, in the creeks, and in the river. From juveniles to bulls the Redfish have been a common sight on our trips. These fish are a blast to catch on light tackle live bait or artificial. Whether you like to eat them or do catch and release the reds will be a top target of mine all spring long.

Late February update

feb 24, 2026 • Jacksonville
Late February fishing has consisted of redfish and sheepshead here in Northeast Florida. The weather has been all over the place with days in the 80s and then a freeze warning just days later. This has made fishing more difficult but we still are seeing some quality fish being caught. Although we may not be catching the numbers of fish we are still seeing great quality fish. Omce the weather straightens out and gets more consistent the fishing should improve and return to a normal pattern.

February Creek Fishing

On our afternoon trip we fished the last bit of outgoing tide and the first of the incoming. We ran up into a shallow creek that gave us an opportunity to fish for redfish, trout, and flounder. As usual we used a mix live, cut, and artificial baits to catch our targeted species. It was a warmer day than it has been making the fish and bait a bit more active.
