    Una grande prima esperienza per mia nipote!

    Abbiamo incontrato il Capitano Jesse all'orario stabilito ed era pronto a partire. Siamo andati al primo spot e abbiamo iniziato a prendere pesci subito. Al terzo lancio abbiamo portato a bordo un bel Redfish da tenere. Ne abbiamo preso un altro in poco tempo, più altre specie. L'intera uscita è andata così. Il Capitano Jesse vi porterà sul pesce e nel frattempo vi racconterà qualche bella storia sulla zona. Si è dato da fare a bordo per tenere gli ami innescati, liberare gli impigli e tenerci soddisfatti. Redfish, Black drum, Black sea bass, Spotted seatrout, insieme a qualche pesce 'di scarto' hanno reso l'uscita davvero piacevole!

    La nostra uscita con il Capitano Jesse è stata fantastica. I miei due figli (8 e 12 anni) ed io abbiamo trascorso una bellissima giornata in acqua. Siamo riusciti tutti a pescare e siamo stati particolarmente felici di aver catturato diversi Redfish, che era il nostro obiettivo principale. Siamo riusciti anche a catturare altre specie, il che è stato un bel bonus. È stato paziente e ha dedicato del tempo ad aiutare i ragazzi ad imparare. Uscita di pesca fantastica!

    Uscita fantastica - Divertente

    E' stata un'esperienza divertente con il Capitano Jesse. Ci ha portato dove avevamo chiesto e abbiamo catturato una varietà di pesci. Ha tirato su un bellissimo black sea bass e una discreta Passera, anche se un po' sotto la taglia minima. Per noi andava bene lo stesso, perché ci piace il catch and release. Il fondale roccioso è stata una nuova esperienza per me e mi ha aiutato a imparare come lavorare l'esca sulle rocce. Siamo rimasti sorpresi di scoprire che conoscevamo alcune delle stesse persone di Fernandina Beach. Torneremmo a pescare con Jesse in qualsiasi momento.

    Tempo pessimo, ma abbiamo comunque pescato una bella varietà di pesce!

    Ero un po' nervosa per il meteo e per le nostre capacità di pesca, così all'ultimo minuto ho cambiato da 2 ore a 3. Il capitano ha approvato subito, il che è stato ottimo. Questa uscita di pesca è stata PERFETTA per me e mio marito, dato che siamo già abbastanza esperti nella pesca. Nostro figlio ha 9 anni ed è riuscito a pescare in completa autonomia, prendendo anche i suoi pesci. Nostra figlia ha 5 anni e praticamente si è rannicchiata sul pavimento della barca perché quel giorno faceva FREDDO. Avrebbe potuto partecipare, ma non consiglierei di portare bambini più piccoli di 5-6 anni a meno che non ci siano almeno 21 gradi. Il capitano è stato il più disponibile possibile e ci ha portato sui pesci nonostante il tempo pessimo (freddo e vento).

    Ottimo Charter

    Sono finito a Fernandina per il mio solito viaggio di compleanno. Di solito prenotiamo un charter ad ogni viaggio e siamo rimasti assolutamente soddisfatti. Il capitano Jesse ci ha portato subito sui pesci, dove ho catturato la mia prima spotted seatrout, un bel esemplare da due chili e mezzo. Mentre cercavamo altri posti "segreti" del Capitano Jesse lungo la costa, abbiamo finito per prendere un bel po' di spotted seatrout e qualche black drum, molti da portare a casa. Un momento memorabile è stato quando il Capitano Jesse ci ha condiviso la sua vasta conoscenza della storia locale dell'isola e dei dintorni. Chiameremo sicuramente il Capitano Jesse per il nostro prossimo charter a Fernandina. Che giornata fantastica!

    Il capitano Jesse è un tipo in gamba e ci ha portato sui pesci. Ci ha raccontato la storia della zona e ci ha mostrato qualche trucco del mestiere. Una bella giornata in acqua e siamo finiti sui redfish 🤘 Abbiamo pescato spotted seatrout, jack crevalle, ladyfish e un pesce gatto, ma il momento clou sono stati due bei redfish. È facile da seguire in barca ed è stato tutto molto rilassato e divertente per tutti noi.

    Jesse ha fatto un lavoro fantastico. È arrivato puntuale con gamberi vivi e cefalo. È stata un'azione continua. Abbiamo pescato almeno 15 specie diverse di pesci… per un totale di circa 25-30 esemplari… persino mangrove snapper e uno snook. Consiglio vivamente di prenotare con Jesse, sa come portarti sul pesce.

    Jesse è stato un capitano fantastico per me e i miei figli. Era la prima volta che i miei ragazzi andavano a pescare e Jesse ha reso tutto divertente e semplice. Tutti hanno preso del pesce e aveva un ottimo senso dell'umorismo. Un'uscita di pesca davvero piacevole, la consiglio assolutamente.

    Un'uscita di pesca fantastica come sempre con Jesse. Abbiamo avuto molta azione in poco tempo, ha sempre una bella storia da raccontare ed è una fonte inesauribile di conoscenze locali. In questa uscita era presente anche mio figlio di cinque anni e Jesse è stato meravigliosamente divertente e comprensivo nell'avere un bambino a bordo. Non potrei raccomandare di più Amelia Island Light Tackle Charters!

The cooler weather is the best time of year to catch Speckled Seatrout. Redfish, sheepshead and blackdrum (puppy drum) are plentiful as well! You wont see as many charter Captains with alot of bookings because it is the slow season… however it is my Favorite time to go fishing with my family and friends as well as a few fishing charters and a handfull of regular Clients! I personally like to fish for Trout with an artificial lure and use the trolling motor to keep the boat moving and cast! Covering alot of ground and always introducing the lire to a fish that hasn’t seen it yet! I always feel like once you cast in the same spot a dozen time whatever is there youd have cuaght on the first few cast! If he’s there he’s gonna EAT IT!? (i call everthing oit there “he”?)

Theres always a good chance to land a few of these species year round! As the warmer weather moves in the bite has changed as well, where alot of fast moving fish are overtaking and dominating key spots along the rivers edge and the inlets! Typically bluefish, ladyfish, Spanish Mackerel, little nibblers and Sharks!!!

Tarpon are fish of the genus Megalops. They are the only members of the family, Of the two species, one is native to the Atlantic, and the other to the Indo-Pacific Oceans.atlanticus is found on the western Atlantic coast from Virginia to Brazil, throughout the Caribbean and the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Tarpon are also found along the eastern Atlantic coast as well as the African coast, throughout Southeast Asia, Japan, Tahiti, and Australia. Both species are found in both marine and freshwater habitats, usually ascending rivers to access freshwater marshes. They are able to survive in brackish water. Due to their swim bladders, which they use primarily to breathe. They are also able to rise to the surface and take gulps of air, which gives them a short burst of energy. The habitats of tarpons vary greatly with their developmental stages, salt marshes, tidal pools, creeks, and rivers. Their habitats are characteristically warm, shallow, dark bodies of water with sandy mud bottoms. Tarpons commonly ascend rivers into fresh water. Speckled trout, is a common estuarine fish found in the southern United States along coasts of Gulf of Mexico and the coastal Atlantic Ocean from Maryland to Florida. While most of these fish are caught on shallow, grassy flats, spotted seatrout reside in virtually any inshore waters, from the surf of outside islands to far up coastal rivers, where they often come for shelter during cold weather. Contrary to its name, the spotted seatrout is not a member of the trout family (Salmonidae), but of the drum family (Sciaenidae). It is popular for recreational fishing. Adults reach 19-37 inches in length and 3-17 pounds in weight.

The sheepshead, is a marine fish that grows to 30 in, but commonly reaches 10 to 20 in. It is deep and compressed in body shape, with five or six dark bars on the side of the body over a gray background. It has sharp dorsal spines. Its diet consists of oysters, clams, and other bivalves, and barnacles, fiddler crabs, and other crustaceans. It has a hard mouth, with several rows of stubby teeth – the frontal ones closely resembling human teeth – which help crush the shells of prey.
